You only think that because it's a black and white photo, he has a strong face, and he has that hairstyle.
He doesn't have grey hair, or any wrinkles around the eyes. His skin is actually young and healthy looking. All that while not looking like a kid, definitely puts him in his mid 30s.

My Chinese coworker, who was worried that I wasn’t married at 27, asked if there was a marriage bureau in Canada, like there is China.

As a tall gentleman standing well over 188 cm (0.0018288 Km) I can attest to locating and procuring longish cloth-based 'leg-tubes' quite an arduous task!

I like to imagine that she joined the Navy after feeling terribly disillusioned by the 'hunt' of finding a so-called 'husband.' She later successfully transferred to The Royal Marines (Commandos) where she rose to the rank of Second-Lieutenant (Ensign.)

How the times have changed, now a woman over 30 is seen as relatively not old enough to get married.Besides,it seems to me that in current days the average of girls do not plan ahead to get married and get married because they have a child equally without a previous planification.
I believe times were better when women married young and were virgins. Married couples often stayed married until death but nowadays it seems we have flipped it to the reverse which is currently collapsing society and the population unfortunately. God help us as we seem to be growing farther away from each other with all the tech. 🙏 This is all by design of the elites. They want population reduction in a big way.

Its not exactly better, things have just changed. The pressure on single people in their 20s/30s was definitely not good
It was a simpler times, none of this rush rush that we come too learn. Also, people seemed polite and perhaps naïve compared to today who are pretty much clued on, though politeness and decorum appear to be thrown out. We've become an Amercanised society.
