      @@vpconcepts9838 I have never had anyone explain the science behind the speaker wire etc. because there is none...I would be more concerned about humidity and barometric pressure in listening room.. and the room itself... the companies that market that stuff always seem to have a range of their own products claiming to do things , but have a line of different price points so to upgrade. I have MA8000 and MT-5 TT. A well known tech at McIntosh told me not to waste my money on their $4500.00 line conditioner..it is a rarity that anyone would need it.... show me the science and not voodoo MAGIC. Stillpoints are ceramic and Stainless steel....but company talks of a "break-in period" what B.S.

      @vpconcepts9838  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've plugged my McIntosh into the wall directly & then into my PS Audio P10. The musicality is greatly reduced without the p10. It's staying in my system. I never had the McIntosh line conditioner in my home to A/B. I will tell you that stillpoints under my MT5 is a revelation. 👌🎼✨

    You must have Steve Austin Bionic ears. With the equipment you have everything in the background should be pitch black even if you were using $5.99 walmart speaker wire. I personally cant buy into the ultra high dollar speaker cables and supports. I think its black magic but I won't put anyone down if they do. Your system sounds nice and it should at 50 to 75 K

    Wonder how the sound of 2 MC275 amps running mono block with a c1100 tube preamplifier using the sonus faber s venere. I’ve been debating on the tube amps that McIntosh has vs solid state. What’s your thoughts?

    • @vpconcepts9838

      Peter Landis the Venere S loves tube sound. They are 4ohm and under 90db. Solid state amps with tube preamp would sing 👌✨

    Thank you for this video. I love your system. Clearly, you love your hobby and it shows. I'd like to give you a bit of an advice, if I am not too presumptuous. I assume you plugged the P10 to the PD. If so, that minimizes - if not destroys - most of the benefits of the P10. Even the manual says that power plant should not be daisy chained. They should be connected directly to a wall socket and no other power conditioning unit should be before it. I have 3 PS Audio plants/conditioners. The last piece in the chain always measured worse than if you connected it directly to power line. That is why they power different power zones: digital, vinyl and main. But I might have misunderstood and you run them in parallel and not chained - then please ignore my suggestion. Thank you. But what a clean, wonderful system, attention to every detail, all is matched perfectly!

    • @vpconcepts9838
      @vpconcepts9838  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Vlad Grigorian Hi Vlad. I actually spoke with PS audio on this as I have had many products going back to the 90’s with the HCA amps & PCA preamp. The P10 does not have an ultimate outlet installed inside, so they are not running through twice. The P10 uses a different technology to AC regeneration compared to the old models. So the wall power goes into the power director, and the P10 goes into that. So all components are isolated on different plugs on the P10. The p10 on its own was to dark and rolled off. Plugging into the power directors ultimate outlet inside REALLY brought life back into the system. PS audio said it was fine. I’ve had it this way for 2 years with no issue. Thank you for listening!! 😊👍🎼✨

    Bonjour,Very interesting video and system. Could you tell me how do the Sonus Faber work with other kind of music than Jazz. Jazz rock, Jazz funk or my favourite style like Steely Dan . Thank you for advices and video.

      According to me Steely Dan is not country music, Donald Fagen would be very angry.....I don't like country music, but i like Pearl jam and Pink Floyd too, that i listen very often. But, you didn't answer to my question. How do the Sonus Faber work with thess musics, with pearl jam for example. Thank you.

    • @vpconcepts9838
      @vpconcepts9838  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You misunderstand. I was saying that I personally have tried every kind of music on my Sonus Faber “except” for country. And all kinds of music sound wonderful to me. Including what you listed. 👍🎼✨

    • @bobbycaldwell9478
      @bobbycaldwell9478 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much for your answer. I have to improve my English. In France we can't practice a lot, so it's sometime difficult to translate corectly. i'm happy to listen that Sonus Faber are OK on different kind of music, because most part of time those speakers are tested on Jazz. But i listen to Jazz too. Sonus Faber is now a real alternative for me. Thanks.

    I hate to be negative, but when it got to positioning those feet under a power conditioner for better sound, all credibility was lost. Let's have a scientific explanation on how that works please. Also, I've heard of moving an antenna to get better reception, but elevating speaker cables always makes me face-palm. But I guess that's because I must be deaf. Can you say... "Placebo"?

      As a subscriber to your channel I'm pretty disappointed in you Craig. While I admire your pragmatic approach to audio, you don't appear to operating remotely in the same realm of gear that this fellow is. Obviously this man's system gives him a lot of joy, and its disappointing when others that are similarly passionate about audio attack others that are also passionate...ESPECIALLY when the attacking party doesn't have the requisite experience with the gear. If he's got the cash to play around with cable elevators, high end power and audio cables, and different forms of isolation, thats his business. If it makes a difference to him (placebo or not), that's none of your business, and shame on you for being so self important that you feel your opinion matters one bit.
      That said...I love your channel and you have amazing pragmatic content that was of great utility when I was starting out.

    What are the dimensions of your listening room? The Sonus Fabers will generate a lot of acoustic energy, have you experienced any problems with reflections and standing waves? I like the idea of house plants as sonic dampeners for the corner of your room. What is the platform under your CD player? It looks like a wooden chopping board but I bet it is something a bit more esoteric.

Not all of us in the vinyl/audio community are like that. You're sharing what you love and I commend you for that!
    I've tried reaching out to others in the vinyl community, and the vast majority of their behavior is to blow me off because apparently it's not okay to be 36 in the vinyl community. Great system and sound. Love Mc stuff.
    Could you tell what wood isolation is used beneath the Mc cdp and if it is 2" or 3" in height

    I don’t have anything approaching your gear...just Marantz and Definitive Technology stuff...but your demo sounds great. The sonics are so clean coming through the almost nothing little speaker on my IPad Mini, It would sound highly listenable off an external speaker coming out of the IPAD.

    Can you really hear changes from vibration of cables? This is new to me,

      Louis In Name Only static from carpet yes, also when I use my anti static record gun on them I hear a huge difference. The vibrations? I am the only one living here and not walking around when I listen so that’s anyone’s guess. Last but not least, it makes them easier to dust! LOL! 👊🎼✨

    Nice system, you like the McIntosh integrated amp? Torn between an integrated or getting a separate preamp/amp setup.
