Apart from an improvement in India’s economic confitions, the biggest reason is the health of parents. Unlike past generations, migrant Indians dont have 2-3 siblings back home to care for their parents. The UK, Canada, Europe and Japan will still get immigrants from India, but they are usually not the top of their class like before.
Not only that but why would someone from India go to the UK to start a tech company when the UK has become very anti trust when it comes to tech. When tou can go to the US or stay in India that is much more open to tech.

The UK just isn't as competitive anymore, therefore its highly unlikely that it will become a technology hub. Corporate tax is 25% and income tax can go up to 45%. Young individuals may go elsewhere with less taxation. High taxation and regulation is one the biggest reasons why innovation is not occurring in much of western Europe.

Firstly Indians STEM graduates don't need to emigrate since ample opportunities opening up back home. India is already IT power house & working to become engineering hub with large strides in core engineering & manufacturing in top sectors like aerospace, space tech, heavy machineries, marine & ship building, Robotics & IOT, defense etc. Now considering UK that's an interesting case a Country that is moving backwards. UK welcomed Pakistani Islamic fanatics resulting in spread of fundamental Sunni elements throughout Britain. Interestingly we find an Islamic Nation Saudia Arabia liberalizing it's society against which UK has been adopting Orthodoxy. We find British Govt lacdasical approach as witnesses during Blasphemy case when a specially abled white teenager was targeted for what Islamists considered disrespect to Quran. Further British Govt has encouraged islamic fanatics targeting Indians. We can sense British leadership lacking pride in British identify will submit to Islamic fanatics and will adopt Sharia law to become Next Afghanistan rather than IT superpower. Indian STEM talent has witnessed this radicalization of UK and has been dropping emmigration plans to UK.

*There is a very specific and a systematic reason as to why in the 50+ years of the Internet and the Software industry, it's always been the American company that has gone to become a global, publicly traded, and a 100B+ in valuation company. There are 7 continents and 207 sovereign nations in the world, but when you observe your personal and professional digital life, it's been surrounded with American software products. One of the key reasons to this is the INDIAN people from India. The US realized this in the late 80s and early 90s that if they want to be a global power in the Internet and the Software world, they need INDIANS. The result is in front of us. Some of the largest global companies have Indian CEOs. And some of the large non-tech companies have Indian CEOs, such as FedEx, Starbucks, ex-Mastercard, ex-PepsiCo, etc. The UK knows this. Germany knows this. Japan knows this. The UAE (Dubai) knows this. Singapore knows this. And pretty much every other country. The problem is they are just too late to realize this.*

Any product or service you build within EU can be scaled to entire EU market without any restrictions. And trust me quality of life in Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Austria is way better than UK. If language is something you care about then there is Ireland which is still in the EU and they speak English. Indians in India can build India better than the expats, and I say this as an expat myself. Plenty of lazy people in west. Two BIG problems in India are cowardice and lack of authenticity. Simple example. How many people will stop before the stopline during a greenlight if there is traffic ahead, so that we don't block sideways traffic if signal changes? Often we hear that the guy behind would honk. We should be willing to stand our ground assertively. I have done this since age 19 and been in fights few times. Empathy, courage, patience, trust on fellow Indians, accountability are all important. Nowadays I'm seeing more hope though.

Whilst this video focuses mostly on technology, I think the challenge of recreating a Silicon Valley is multifaceted. For one thing, I think the consumer culture in the US is unique. Entrepreneurs there almost take for granted the environment where people are keen on trying out their latest creations. In the US, anything goes it seems, and that I envy. Most tech ecosystems elsewhere are limited to the narrow needs of the consumers such as edtech or fintech (where I'm from for example). Tech and talent is only part of the picture.
True this is commonly overlooked with regard to the US, I have also found parts of Asia have a real aspirational culture and energy which isn't prevalent in the EU and UK, where it is much more conservative. One aspect of UK product development culture by comparison to the US, EU environment that I have seen over the years is an ability to turn problem solving into a very powerful dynamic within the development/tech group itself. I have seen this totally transform the company's ability to cultivate new markets. This isn't to say product development elsewhere is inferior such as here in the Netherlands where I live and work, but it is different.
@@colbr6733 I agree. Stay in the Netherlands too and have observed that the consumerism and ingenuity have been very unique that have led to the creation of brands like Philips for medical and consumer electronics, NXP for semiconductors and ASML for chip manufacturing machines using special photo - lithography techniques etc. Each brand has a hegemony on it's own like Danfoss of Denmark. Very interesting to note and study.
@@colbr6733ery true in the US. People are so much more open to innovation and risk in the US. Down here where I live in Australia, there is very little appetite for risk, everyone is too scared and wants the easy life. We have the same attitude as the British, maybe worse. This why any “New Silicon Valley!” or similar innovation initiatives are doomed to failure as soon as they begin. You can throw as much money, infrastructure and buzzwords you like at the problem, but it’s the culture that ultimately decides whether it will happen.

Apart from an improvement in India’s economic confitions, the biggest reason is the health of parents. The UK, Canada, Europe and Japan will still get immigrants from India, but they are usually not the top of their class like before.

1) EU economic stagnation in the past 15 years. Since 2008 there was 0 economic growth. I think just recently EU as a whole got above 2008 levels.
2) UK is still leading in terms of education and research. Look who made the EU vaccine as an example (it was imperial college London with Astrazeneca Germany), no poland, no netherlands, no denmark.
Compare how many universities are in top 100 globally from UK and how many from EU.

Interesting
As an indian I can say here, indians have become adoptive to technology very fast.that's one of the reason for india's success in IT
@@colbr6733ery true in the US.
The UK is more likely to end up on the FATF blacklist at the rate things are going...
Anyways, this is all expected! Indians already have huge presence in UK and according to latest UK census, nearly 40% of Indians in UK work in STEM sector. Most of them are already my bosses... I also know a lot of Indian techies going back to their countries after gaining some experience here to set up start ups in India. But, yes China is bigger than India in tech and still rules in a lot of sectors. One thing India has that China doesn't is a very rich connected and integrated diaspora established in UK and India's geopolitical stance right now.
Also Chinese rich people now tend to stay in their own country
@@EmmaNguyen-mg5xq Agree! Chinese are rich and smart as well! They tend to stay within the country. Reverse migration of Chinese happened ages ago... Indians are smart but poor in India which is why they migrate abroad. But, as I said, India's reverse migration is just starting
@@TheDonMan97 is that true whatever you are saying ?
@@fidenahmed2905 What do you mean - "whatever you are saying"? I'm just stating what Im seeing in UK tech industry. A lot of my Indian coursemates and colleagues have left this country after getting some experience to start start ups there

Why doesn't India help their own country create the next Silicon Valley and be a tech superpower? Britain doesn't need help from India
India is already a Tech Superpower. You will have competition from India itself. Drawing tech talent will be hard from India going forward
😂😂 then what about China? India can't even make own social media platforms like china
india was part of the british empire, today indian rules britain, how funny.
you know what’s even funnier. the uk indians take on british values & many are staunch supporters of the monarchy. that’s UK soft power for you
rules? LOL! The royal family rules Brit
It's more like the UK was a parasite of India and lived off of India for 300 years.
Last time they came for help in the spice trade.. and we lost our freedom. Now what do they exactly want?
All the pimps those says Uk gave India railways 🤣🤣🤣, they don't even have railway network in their own country 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂
Nailed it bro 🤜
Please never come to the UK. 🙏
@@KingCobraJFS1234 Ya, i mean UK may soon become England, Scotland, Wales. Then i will not have any chance to visit UK as a tourist 🙃🙃🤭🫣
Why UK? Why not India?
because of corruption & nepotism
Lmao,India will become silicon valley by 2030 by generating revenue of $2 trillion from IT sector
@@pavanbarhate6765 it's more like Indians Rather
Exactly, stupid Britons dream about sunny days post-Brexit
I am returning back to Bangalore India, biggest problem with EU and UK is the weather and huge taxes.
I can easily save same amount in Bangalore and also have a better living standard.
India will have next Silicon valley in Bangalore itself.
why tf would india help the uk when they already have Bangalore touted to be the next SV.
China is already competing with US tech dominance, but I guess you guys are talking about the Anglosphere, not the world. Bit like the commonwealth games
When it comes to commercial tech, you either go Far-West (USA) or Far-East (China/Korea/Japan)
European commercial tech dies long time ago, only big player left is ASML.
However, if you are talking about research tech, then Europe is no doubt one of the best in the world. Ranging from nuclear energy to space industries.
They take our help 200 yrs before
It still haunt us 😊
They take help so well that it take 3 generation for recovering
And still in process
Thanks
They conquered you ,not took help
Big difference
Title itself proves that they are still living in colonial Era.
Bingo.👏
How so ???
They still feel we should work for them.
@@AbhiRam-le8jw that isn't what title says . It says india and uk should cooperate
@vatsal7640 you should read title correctly.
"Can India help the UK create the next Silicon Valley and be a tech superpower?"... the question should rather be "SHOULD India help the UK create the next Silicon Valley and be a tech superpower?" And the answer being a big NO! Most Indians would happily book the front row seats to see the show called "the downfall of a barbaric country called 'Great' Britain."
Just read the caption and you can feel neo colonism at the finest : LET INDIA HELP UK CREATE NEXT SILICON VALLEY , NOT LET INDIA BE NEXT SILICON VALLEY XD
Uk can't even protect the Indian high commision and our diplomats in uk. Why would they think we would trust them ? They still have the same mindset and their country's slowly but steadily going down the drain because of this same mindset. It is their problem and they should solve it themselves. We have to put our gold in London when we were asking loans to IMF because we were near bankruptcy in 1990. Now we have have grown why should we share our growth with them.
Encourage your youth to study STEM subjects and gain skills rather than waste their time watching TikTok, you won't require anyone's help.
The UK should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to Indians during their colonial conquest. Now they are asking for help? HYPOCRISY has a limit for god's sake.
Dude it's 2023 .what are you still living in the past ??
@@vatsal7640Because 200 years > 70 years. Maybe you should tell the jews to not live in the past.
there is already a massive housing crisis in London, Cambridge, Oxford, where are all these people gonna live? If the UK wants to do this the government needs to massively build new housing
I (we) work really hard for our future in Bharat.
Let's start with returning Indian antiques as a token of this potentially transformational partnership - and also an apology for the atrocities committed by Britain.
You forgot the Wall Street , Apple and google is worth all European countries stocks combined , how could UK beats Wall Street in terms of finances
Not true. Apple is the only trillion dollar company in that list and the UK's economy is in excess of that.
@@fromthefountofyouth Google, Amazon and Microsoft are trillion dollar companies
75 years ago they needed india's money now that money is over and UK economy is crashing again they need Indians
How time flies? There was a time, when WEST used to undermine india, and india looked at them as a hope.
World is increasingly moving towards decentralization. From countries becoming next silicon valley to each country having its own silicon valley.
India has 60% caste reservation + 20% female reservation. Uk should help meritorious indian students
Indians For India not for British slavery anymore 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
India should build more super tech parks within India, why britan?
If India can't make a Silicon Valley on their own capability, what makes you think they can make UK a Silicon Valley? Please be more realistic.
The moment we realize our effort is turning UK a tech power rather than ourselves, we will turn back.
And will we ever realise this?
African continent will be the place of young people in the coming decade. We have to develop tech infrastructure to help our african friends to stand on their own feet.
Problem is with UK Labour Party which is anti Indian and pro Pakistani
India's hard work with such limited budget on its absolute stark own self n the mastery of coding languages ... She deserves this Century indeed 💯 🙏 🌍 ..
What a wierd expectation UK! You already have looted 40 Trillion pounds from India alone and now you are coming back for more. This is one country who calls itself great, but does not understand the meaning of greatness.
UK does not need indians. There are hundreds of nations with similar skills sets and qualifications. They should work and create wealth in india.
Why should India help UK to become it,
India must become most powerfull tech hub in the world.
You don't deserve this......your hand is still red with the blood of my people.....We will never ever forget it
