    Thank you. I have watched so many of your videos. I love how details you are.
    I have learned about alum, Crowning glory and quick dip.
    My worry is-if all of these are too much. Also should I do these with flower food or does it replace.

      Follow the printed dosage directions on all treatment products and you will not overdose. Alum is used on hydrangea and is a stem dip just prior to insertion into an arrangement.

    Amazing video! Thank you for the information! I plan on using white hydrangeas for my wedding centerpieces. I live in the central valley of California and it tends to be warm/hot in late April. I intend to have have them in a vase with water at all times. If the temperature hits upper 80s to mid 90s, how will they keep? I'm worried they might wilt. Will they be ok if they're in water the whole wedding day? Thanks!

      Those are excellent questions, Sally! Hydrangeas are thirsty flowers and they do need a lot of water to be fresh and beautiful. White hydrangeas will be so lovely for your wedding centerpieces and we hope the entire day is a happy and successful event for you. If you give your flowers a fresh cut, dip them in alum and Quick Dip to help them drink more, then set them in clean water and flower food to hydrate for a lengthy period of time, they are more likely to stay gorgeous for your wedding. Keeping them in water is an excellent idea too so they can continue to drink during the celebration. We have a couple of additional videos that might help too and you can find them here: th-cam.com/video/qyMYZSSlqas/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/-Y3ye7cajts/w-d-xo.html Wishing you all the best for your special day, and please let us know if we can help with anything else. Please have a marvelous week and wishing you all the best in all that you do!

    What’s the purpose of the hot water, what does it do?

      It's just one of those tips and tricks that has been around forever and works. We don't exactly why.

    Hi, once the hydrangeas are placed in water foam how should I make sure they keep hydrated? I plan to do my centerpieces on a Friday night.. I get married Saturday at 4pm and I'm concerned about the hydrangeas not keeping up. Will the water foam be enough?

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the foam will be enough. Make sure to use a container that allows for a large water supply and make sure that the container is full of water.

    We use alm now

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's excellent news, Ike! Alum is a superb way to help hydrangeas drink lots of water so they stay fresh and beautiful. Another good option is Quick Dip which is a rapid hydrator. Alum and Quick Dip together will insure that your hydrangeas are truly gorgeous. Thanks so much for taking time to watch our show today and we hope to see you again soon. Wishing you all the best and please have a wonderful week!

    I know that hydrangeas also drink through their petals (?) Should they be submerged at any point of conditioning?

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can submerge them. This is generally not necessary.....
