Tony contributed SO much to the Rufus sound and their songs. Sometimes Chaka's overwhelming talent overshadowed how much he and the other members did to make that band so memorable.
Make no mistake...the band Rufus was a beast with or without Chaka. With her they were absolutely epic. Tony Maiden was a huge part of that sound (along with keyboardist Kevin Murphy).
