The 1.6 8v, 1.6 16v, and 1.3 8v are all non interference engines. Idk who told you they were but they lied to you. If it has a timing *belt* its non interference. Timing chain engines are a different story. And the torque spec on the crank pulley (harmonic balancer) is 94 lb.ft. no more no less. And btw these engine time on #4 spark plug at TDC (top dead center) not on #1 like most every other engine. #4 on these Suzuki and tracker engines. Crank mark at 12, cam mark at 12, #4 TDC compression stroke, rotor pointing at #4 wire and youre good. But be careful. You can time these 180 out with the #4 being at TDC at the exhaust stroke fixing to take in intake. Pull your valve cover and watch your intake valve close. Once it closes stick a screwdriver in cylinder #4 and once the screwdriver reaches its peak of lift on the piston and just before it starts to go back down. Thats compression stroke #4. I know i went into detail. Better know too much than not enough. Im very familiar with these engines. They are awesome and simple. Unlike 4.6 and 5.4's im used to as well😂 congrats on the sammy. I love mine
She's alive! Congrats! It's great to hear her running again. I thoroughly enjoyed story time by the fire 🤣🙌
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍good chance from Monaco
Thanks for watching!
Hey mate might be a silly question but just learning,
Did you need to pull off the harmonic balencer ?
I’m just learning too! You don’t have to remove the cam pulley to do the timing belt. I did because that seal was leaking. Hope that helps!
He doesn't know what a harmonic balancer is. Yes you do have to in order to get the timing cover off.
