Zeus' dash prolly is one of the best ones. Getting all of the lightning boosting boons from zeues would make the dash deal like nearly 200 damage. Like jolted, lightning striking twice etc
yea, I was surprised he said it was bad. Whenever I have that dash, it always seems like I do way more damage combined with the other attacks, but Poseidon's dash definitely deals the heftiest amount of damage on its own.
I think the reason he said it was bad was simply because it requires a lot of luck and setup for it to start doing lots of damage, cause it's honestly pretty damn weak on it's own, and sometimes it takes a while if at all to acquire the other boons.
I still have three more damn freshwater bass to catch to finish my codex! I've 100% done everything else, even getting Skelly's third challenge reward.

Been having a hades resurgence for the first half of 2023 and just recently tore myself away to try to finish ff16, so I'm definitely hype to see one of my favorite new(to me) content creators do some challenge runs.

Tried doing a similar challenge where I only used casts. It was brutal, and until you get (if you get them) some good cast boons every room takes like 5 minutes

The alternative Mirror of Darkness option that makes your cast regenerate instead of waiting to pick up would probably help, as well as the Aspect of Hera bow

I got Hades credits on run 69 the first time I played the game, I think it genuinely does respect run 69 lmao It's wild but really neat to see how dash only completely shifts the usefulness of certain boons
Love this concept and the video is super funny! Hades is my most played game of all time, it’s such a great game. (Also appreciate the sam reich voice clip jumpscare, I get excited any time I see random dropout references online)
I personally think Poseidon dash is pretty bad. Yeah, it has high base damage, but it also yeets enemies away, meaning it can be harder to follow up with another dash hit (or normal attacks for regular runs). Zeus is actually super strong, as other boons can massively enhance its damage. Also, my reason to grab the fists is because its hidden aspect gives you +2 dashes.
Seeing you play other games is cool you're challenge running style reminds me of MittenSquad but still different enough to be refreshing and cool definitely looking forward to more Hades challenge runs and maybe some other games too
HELL YEAH HADES CONTENT BABY!!! also if you have a trial of the gods and one of their calls. Pick the opposite god and get the call of the god you pissed to max and then use it. I wont spoil what happens but its *chefs kiss* perfect
I enjoyed this, but I'm not sure extending the challenge to rest of the game would be interesting. You can't really experiment with different weapons and builds, which is the part that makes subsequent runs interesting, at least for me. I'd be happy to see more Hades content, but I think new and different challenges would be better.

Since you're unsure how this game is going to do for you: Got the video recommend by the algorithm. That being said, I have consumed a lot of Elden Ring content over the last 6 months (your channel is new to me, though) and I have been getting back into Hades content in the last few days. So this specific video of Hades by a content creator, who usually does Elden Ring, was probably a match made in heaven for YT's algorithm. If that algorithm had self-awareness it would probably be incredibly proud to have recommended me your video. So, yeah, Algorithm-senpai maybe has noticed you and brings you good fortune or it's just shipping me and your videos.
Even without the Boss Damage increase on Tidal Dash it is still the absolute GOAT for dash builds because you can get Rupture and potentially go for Sea Storm duo with Zeus to enable all knockbacks to also do lightning damage and thus apply shock.
I love Hades, so I'm super excited if this becomes a series

This is true, but for that you need to survive long enough to get those. Doing that while only using the 10 damage base zeus dash is a little hard.
I’d say poisedens is probably the best overall. Once you get rapture the game is easy mode.
