I have several pairs of yeezy season 1, 3,4,6 & 7 boots only three of them from adidas. The suede is superb and the made in italy/spain ones I’ve had for 4-5 years and are tanks. The only damage i’ve had done to them are heel drag and some ripping in the nylon (heel tabs). But other than that the suede & leather uppers are superb. The season 4 & 5 boots are full leather, inside is leather and outside is suede. And the insole is leather aswell. Its fantastic and well built. The adidas versions feel much more like a sneaker than any of the others.

He's breaks shoes down to see if the quality is worth the price, see how they're built, educational purposes, experimenting. He's not trying to shit on "hype" sneakers, he's not telling you not to buy them, those aren't his intention at all. @@thousandfootkrutchro it's true, but paying the price people pay for hype-shoes you can get yourself a decent looking functional shoe and that's the problem of modern consumers. We're ready to toss out shit ton of money for a cool looking hyped item even if the materials and other qualities are mediocre at best.
Like yeah, it doesn't need to be a hiking shoe, but if your lifestyle fabric shoe costs as much as a decent looking, good quality, durable working/performance shoe ... you're basically giving away money for having less comfort and having to buy a new shoe sooner than necessary.

Yet another great video! The thing I love most about this shoe is the simple construction. The same with the Slides and Foam RNNRS. One of Kanye's objectives as a designer is to create mass produced shoes with the least amount of components and experiments with more sustainable materials like algae. This is to make them more cost effective to produce in countries with better worker welfare standards.

@@briansanchez9899 More cost effective production and waste reduction rarely translates into a cheaper product unfortunately. Most of the time a more cost effective production method just means larger profit margins. Recouping initial costs for new methods and moulds is legitimate but that really doesn’t take too long.
Time and market saturation is what will bring the price down. There will be a day you’ll be able to find Yeezy models on sale
Nike currently have a Nike By You Air Max 97 where many of the options are recycled materials. They’ll run you £200 🤣

I think comfort would improve with proper sizing. I went a full size up on these and wear mine without the insoles and they are great for all day wear. My foot is slightly on the wider side but I bought someone else a pair also at a full size up and they love them. Her foot is narrow and she refuses to do shoes that don't fit right that are too big or too tight or fit awkwardly and she loves these.

CORRECTION: We got a couple things wrong in the video. I read the talking points wrong on the breathability test. The 450 was more breathable than the 350. I said it the complete opposite 🙃
Something we realized after the video was uploaded is that the dual layers in the upper is so that they can achieve the seamless ankle collar opening. Unlike the 350s that had to be finished and sealed with edge binding.

My foot is somewhat on the wider side, I went a full size up and wear them without the insoles and they are great for all day wear and after a year of wear still look virtually new and haven't lost any elasticity. I obviously mileage may vary as every foot is different but I've had the same issue as you stated on other shoes and sizing down has always helped.

These are far from my style, but to each their own. At least they look like they'd be comfy enough once you got used to them.
What I don't understand is why the socks couldn't be designed not to disintegrate after the first bit of damage. It's nice that the foam fingers mitigate the risk in this model, but that's still quite the crutch. The climber in me also shudders at the thought of the laces rubbing against the unfortified loops. That's a disaster waiting to happen.
