I loved your tutorial! Please make more like this. maybe you could teach some of the skills you use in making your jewelry. I could watch you all day, you're positively adorable!
1. I really enjoy your videos. 2. I'm a crafter but really enjoy seeing talented, nice and real true artists. I'm not sure if Klee you will remember this comment you had... but I'm sitting here... eating dollar tree brand crispy Cheetos watching you and at the last the last bite I went OMG! LOL!!! yep there are decent appreciative Cheetos eaters out here! I think it is wonderful that you appreciate and value Rafi's time. have a great day. aka Patricia
I loved your "sticking your neck out", Lol Klee taking us step by step through the process, including the material costs. Good going, Klee, as I think you made an excellent tutorial!
Klee, I am so loving the neck forms! For the total amount of time and money that you spent including on your rollie storage You couldn’t have gotten neck forms made out of cardboard for that cost for the quantity... what I love about them most, besides the cost saving, is they actually take up less room it looks like then traditional neck forms. That means you’ll be able to display more necklaces in a smaller area. And I’m glad you chose a matte finish for them because then it allows for your jewelry to sparkle and shine and be the focal point rather than the glossy neck form. I used to make them out of heavy-duty cardboard and cover them with black velvet material LOL when I made jewelry and sold it. I like your design much better! You’re right they are going to last forever! Also wanted to say awesome tutorial video! You were so thorough with everything. Very much appreciated! 🥰
Very nice DIY! You guys are so cute together. This little project reminds me of the one my wife and I just did, we made a new table for the dining room area as an art workstation. It is along one wall at 8 feet long with a glass top. And after my wife used the mechanical sander she did not want to go back to the hand sanding with woodwood block and paper! Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing guys have a lovely day.
Outstanding jewelry displays, Klee! Thank you for sharing your project in such detail. This was an especially enjoyable video. I love the way the two of you approach projects and really get a kick out of watching the two of you work on things together.
You've made me really wish I had a workshop. I've been picking up jewelry forms one at a time because they're so expensive. These are beautiful, and came to about $10 each, INCLUDING your storage solution. I really love them. I also love how you think in "kits". I need to remember to do that. You thought out how you were going to store and transport them, as part of acquiring/making them. I never remember to do that with art supplies, and then I'm left feeling like my stuff is all over the place.
Klee, I'm sorry I'm so late to this video posting, but your jewelry stands look so rustic, clean and modern... Simple, basic, and.... beautiful. Nice job you two. 😀💪👏🤜🤛.
Hello! I realize this video is a couple years old but I was looking for videos on how to make jewelry displays and came across yours. I am right away hoping you have more videos to watch because your personality has got to be one of the most down to earth but SUPER COOL that I've seen on TH-cam in a long time! ✌😎
So glad to see another video so soon, binge watched all of them last week and totally enjoyed them and you both. Great job on the display's look great , quick setup and water/windproof. Bet some customers will ask to buy them. More DIY videos please.
What a great project, and I love all the practicality that only comes with experience. Making something so sturdy and windproof, as well as the rolling heavy duty storage chest. Priceless tips for folks new to the art fair world.
Wow you guys are so cute! I love that you showed how you guys did this project from buying the supplies to the very finish. I also like that you guys did it in real time instead of making a super short tutorial that makes everything seem so much easier than it actually is.
These are great thank you, making and selling jewelry is soooo expensive and the velvet neck forms barely last a season with outdoor shows. Love love love!
You two remind me of my partner and I doing projects together. ☺ It's adorable. The neck forms are an awesome idea! I may need to steal your idea some for the jewelry I make. But in matte black. Thanks for the idea, and an excuse to buy a jig saw. 😉
Love the design of your neckforms I might make some but in cardboard as don't have the equipment or pleasure of a studio like yours. Well jealous of that workshop and having a handsome handyman to boot 😄😄😄😄
What a wonderful idea! I can get 3x3's & plywood from work as part of my mission to upcycle as much as possible! I don't have a lot of jewelry yet but it's a good idea to keep tucked in my brain, safe & sound... I can see something similar made to hold small canvases and maybe even holiday ornaments with a few modifications. Thanks Rafi & Klee! ✌💜😄 Tish
I'm a new enthusiastic follower, and I just loved this video tutorial! I've shown my jewelry outdoors near the California coast and had the wind all but blow everything away, so I'm especially jazzed about your awesome neck forms! Great job, such an awesome cooperative effort, and many thanks!
Hello! First time commenting here. I'm a jeweler (beadweaving) and have also made my own neck forms. Your wedge shape design is genius! The ones I made were the standard velure covered cardboard shape, but cut out of plywood on a bandsaw. They're collapsible and in three different sizes, as well as some bracelet ramps and simple blocks. I made them back in my final semester of college before I no longer had use of the woodworking tools in the sculpture studio, ignoring my actual assignments in the process. I have never regretted the $60 or so and the time invested because I wasn't about to pay $20/each for inferior products either. And mine are about 90% wind proof. The biggest ones are a little unbalanced at times.
Also had to make a second comment to commend the awesome teamwork! I love how both of you are into working on this project together it’s fun doing stuff with your partner ❤️
Another great video! You guys have inspired me to try making my own neck forms too. Klee, from one long-haired gal to another, please be careful around power equipment. I always wear my hair up around anything like your belt sander to prevent accidents. Be careful of strings on hoodies too. I debated on making this comment, but I come from a ranch family where we were work around a lot of equipment and it's very important. I would feel terrible if you were to get hurt.
Excellent, real tutorial, explaining each step of your process (even going to the 'Far away Home Depot" !) I like the way you brought out the wood grain, and the dark ones really complement your silver work.
This is awesome! I may have to try this. I usually don't sell in person but I could use things like this for photos. Now I use a lot of things to take photos of my creations like bottles, vases, stacks of books, nature stuff outdoors like trees etc. I just get creative with what I put my pieces on to take online listing photos. ;) - Heidi
the commentary and occasional "oh god" is far too relatable. These kind of pieces are something my partner and I have considered selling because his displays get asked about almost as much as his lathe work. dont be surprised if you get a chance to make a batch for someone else, too cute
Rafi Was Here Studios ok finished and can I just say - Klee those neck forms and travel case are so awesome 😍😍😍 it’s so satisfying when you have created something yourself and cheaper and better then shop bought Super awesome job Klee!!! 😃
@@Rafiwashere good idea. At first I didn’t quite understand what you meant but if you made the top notches a bit deeper you could absolutely layer them in the notch and adjust at different lengths to show off each pendant! Thank you! These will last a lifetime!! Between my dad and I we have all the tools we need. This is great reason to spend quality time with him and he’s cheap labor❤️Have a great show!!! Now to work on business cards and a logo/display!!
@@Rafiwashere let me add that you are so enjoyable to listen too and watch!! Just a beautiful soul. How you speak and the cute little phrases are priceless!! I love finding people that come up with practical solutions to problems!! Way to go!!
Those are amazing! I just went and got flocked fake necks and they look terrible. I swear they materialize dust and bits out of thin air no matter how careful I am. I am totally excited to try these superior neck forms! You could even put little tea cup hooks on the sides if you had matching earrings or additional pieces that matched!
I love how creative you guys are and engineering your own displays!! I would be curious to also see how Rafi is presenting and packaging his artwork, especially the smaller ones. It takes me a long time to cut paper mats for my watercolors and linoprints and it only gets more complicated for the bigger size canvases 😅
Awesome! I was thinking though it would be cool to cast, plaster cast, a neck and chest, then use that mold for either concrete or plaster pour. Depending on how you do this though it could be NSFW. Well OP NSFW not artists. Great project and way cheaper then my idea. Also my idea is not practical for setting up and transport. The concrete would weight 40 to 120 pounds depending on bust size. :D
Great idea and a bit more weather proff than the plastic or styrofoam ones from ebay +so much more on brand and artistic - in short WELL DONE KLEE AND RAFI For the accounting - I have a friend that is a hug and body comfort therapist and her price for 25min of hugging is 800kr witch is around 125$ and that's whiteout any kisses so Rafi you got a good price for that eraser 🤣
This was awesome, thank you! I'm a new subscriber, so you may have already covered this, but is there a reason you don't do Amazon affiliate links? I was hoping the rolling case (which is something I need) would have an affiliate link in your description :)
Using a simple modular system was a great idea... However, if I were to do the same, hugs and kisses would not suffice lol. If it was my daughter and I, lots of coffee and sweets... and a few xox's... And were it someone else, plenty of beer, (after completion, of course) and pizza, a tad more $$$ with a firm but grateful handshake.😄 P.S. You're a good man Rafe!
Someone may have already fixed this issue, but check your saw for a reset button and try changing the fuse before you trash it. Ive had that happen with my radial arm saw a number of times.
next time try using a torch to burn them then sand them to make them look distressed then clear cote them. just a little tip. it's quicker and cheaper on the stain.
Those are gorgeous and really elevate the entire table display!!
Thanks for the idea guys, really loved seeing you guys teaming up. Cheers 👍

The ending is funny cute, and i am very appreciative on the cost breakdown.
I love this idea! And being able to keep them stored in the rolling tool box is awesome.
You guys are so lively and lovely together. y'all funny too😄. Thank you for the tips!
its not unfair Rafi she is so cute , the hugs and kisses were worth way more

Those are AMAZING! It would be perfect aesthetically with my wire wrapped jewelry set up! I wish we had the tools to make these. They are so lovely!!!
You might be able to get Home Depot to cut each board 9ndecwtvan angle.

Jewelry boxes or bags
You could use hand held sandpaper to remove the pencil marks.
