Awesome machine. But in all the pre-war pics and videos I have seen, the carbs never have the air filter on them. Why is that? Surely the roads and the dust were no better in the 20s and 30s than they are now.
I just now noticed an artificial redline at 2,000 rpm! Really? That HAS to be precautionary, the speed six was at least good up to 3.5 or 4 grand. So I am assuming this is perhaps immediately after an engine rebuild?
Some people say that if you have been good all your life and Ángel with take your soul to Heaven in an Speed Six.

The carbs on this car are non original. Nevertheless original carbs would not have had air cleaners but instead flame traps.

All WO Bentleys red line at 3,500rpm. Unless they've been fitted with Phoenix crank and rods in which case 4,000 + would be ok.
