Agreed, this has been a tough spring in RI. Usually April into June is fairly steady. Not this year. Few skunks in a row, then a great night, more skunks etc. I've noticed a trend toward small rainbait starting last fall as well.
Glad you said it. Same thing in CT. Marking a bunch of fish but hard as hell to get them to bite. Most success I’ve had was on small profiles near the bottom. New follower.
Nice big bass dude... eluded my tube jig all morning sunday, 1 good size sea bass hit my small umbella rig but zero stripers took the tube. I did see fish breaking as I moved around but with all the boats I did not see anyone catching much. 20+ boats and 1/2 dozen kayaks out in front. Stay safe.
hey man, ive just got into salt water fishing and was wondering what are the best baits/lures to use and which one in you opinion has caught you the most stripers
I feel your pain bud! Its been a tough spring early summer in south east mass and parts of RI. Have not been able to put a pattern together. Fish are not in spots they normally are at this time. Lack of bait is a big game changer as well.
It would be awesome to see a video of the gear you use. How you rig your kayak, rods, tube setups, and other gear. Great channel, keep it up!

Hey Jonny, how do you rig your eels for jigging?
Was this near the reef this morning? Thought I saw you earlier but was not sure

For sure! Could not find bunker to save my life in the bay this spring
Strange, normally there's a massive biomass of bunker making their way up to the rivers .
You're not the only person to say there's a lack of bait
Been seeing absolutely no fish around the mid and upper bay, guess it is time to head down south.
I'm not in New England this season :( but how has the weather been this season so far vs. Last year?
Wow! No worm on the tip of the tube?
im getting a kayak soon around RI any tips for starting out ?
👀 can you do catching giant bass or bluefish on 10 pound braid or lighter just for fun lol 🤣
Hey jonny! How do you find new spots?
Where in RI are you
Where were u fishing?
No longer working with okuma?
This spring has been WHACK, fishing out of watch hill RI and it has been very strange so far
Yea.. pretty hit or miss for me on the yak. Gonna be night fishing from the shore more often to see if that produces better results
Way to go Bravo
💪💪💪
Are you wearing WADERS while on the kayak?
Hellllll yeaaaaa
Hey man you still doing shorefishing charters
