  • It can’t be beat. Bucktails are the Fishing lure you want with you on a deserted island. You’ll catch so much fish on that island, you won’t even need to leave.

    From the few times I’ve met you and all the times I’ve watched your vids I can tell how much you respect the fishery and every individual fish you catch. These “pros” in your comment section show me why you’ve disabled the comment section in the past. So annoying. Keep doing what you’re doing Bob. I hope the best for you and congrats on the great catches!

      I really appreciate this comment. Thank you. It is tough to make everyone happy and once you come to terms with that, TH-cam becomes mad fun. Trailer selection is fun, it can really make a huge difference. Overall I really like zoom fluke/jerk bait trailer. But depending on the species curly tail grub, jig strip/pork rind, or paddle tail.

    Bucktails are really all I use. They can imitate any kind of bait. They can be fished at any level in the water column. They can be fished at any speed. And they can be fished in any kind of conditions. Sometimes I'll use a diamond jig.

    • @BobAquatic
      @BobAquatic  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Totally agree, once you learn to jig any part of the water column with it, it’s really the only lure you need

    • @Seawave669
      @Seawave669 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@BobAquatic exactly. I see all these other anglers going to the beach with like 10-15 different lures to match the hatch. But if a bucktail imitates any kind of bait, why even bother using other lures. And all these other fancy surface lures are a ripoff. They go for like 15 to 25 dollars a piece.

    Question I have is do you ever swim to rocks and or wear wetsuits?

    • @BobAquatic
      @BobAquatic  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      For sure, I love talking fishing. Yes I wear a wetsuit and a dry suit but for kayaking. Never really had the need to swim out honestly, not the biggest fan of the sealed van staal reels. I have a work smart not hard mentality so swimming out to a rock to catch a bass just kinda seems silly. But I totally get why people do it, and respect it
