Mujeres A.V.E. Seed Funding

Through the Mujeres A.V.E. project, SiKanda promotes the training and support of women with micro-businesses in the Zaachila Oriente area, in addition to promoting their participation, empowerment and autonomy, to increase their income and well-being.
In Women A.V.E. $5000 dollars are invested annually in a seed fund to strengthen the small businesses of the participants. As part of the project, Paula has received pots and a wheelbarrow to grow her family business.
"Thanks to the flower pots I will be able to work and continue with my business, now I have turned it around more and we continue... from there I get to support my children now that they are studying".
Since January 2019, the Mujeres A.V.E. provides training and accompaniment to women with small businesses in the eastern area of Zaachila, where the largest garbage dump in the state of Oaxaca is located.
Women A.V.E. provides tools and a safe space to promote the participation, empowerment, autonomy and agency of women, to improve the operation of their small businesses and increase their income and well-being.
