TNP Patreon is where the action is! Lots more videos and action over there...never too late to join and support the workload: www.patreon.com/Nutnfancy. And don’t believe the rumors Patreon is shutting down, it isn’t and they’ve supported the work here well. YT is also imperfect and I’m still here too ( so are you)! Here's just some of the comments from TNP Patrons on this video that was posted by ELITE TNP Donors: "Joshua kinnunen Spyderco and Leatherman for a decade. Guilty as charged. 2 3w Charles New Gerber dime is $ 15 bucks and has scissors , is only 2.3 oz,,,,and bonus can choose from, black, blue, green, red or purple. I always have one on me. Nutnfancy: Me too, love those brands! 1 3w One.Wheel.Drive I carry the Leatherman SideClip in my left pocket (clipped on) my EDC blade (today it's a Delica 4) clipped to my right pocket and a Leatherman Micra deep in my right pocket. I am more than adequately tooled up...never left wanting. Gerber products always feel unrefined...like they are designed by people that have never used tools. Their slide to open plier head is awful. 1 3w Jim Ferebee Thank you for the review. 3w barefoot130 New patches coming with "S4GC"? Totally want one! 1 3w Colin Ford Thank you for the multitool review! 3w Jacob Hurst I carry a wingman. It retired my Gerber that I carried for years. And i would have to say the scissors are the most used part of my MT. Thanks for great content! 3w Racing Psychosis It makes me sad that it does not have scissors. 3w Jeremy Corrao Love the long reviews! 3w Kevin White was that an ar15 front sight tool in the bit set? 3w Joshua Pulliam Thank you for the review Nutn! I will cling to my Leatherman Wave Plus that I carry everyday at work. In reference to foster parenting. My wife and I are licensed foster parents and I can tell you that it is impossible not to get attached to the children that are placed in your home. Thankfully we were able to adopt the first three children that were placed with us. However, last December we had to say god bye to a sweet little baby girl. It really is like having your heart ripped out and I worry for her well being everyday. 2 2w The Nutnfancy Project Great MT choice, Wave remains one of my favorites for sure. Thanks for the foster parent insight and I can't imagine how hard that would be. Thanks for doing such a great service to us all...fix the family, fix the world! 8min Greg Mason Anyone know have a specific recommendation on a good bug out bag multitool? This Gerber seems too heavy. 2w Nathan Simms aka Darkpriest Thanks for reviewing a multitool again! I really enjoy the multitool reviews. 2 2w Luke Stage 4 clinger Spyderco Manix 2. In my pocket edc it for over 10 years now. 2w david rockwell The review while in-depth and well presented, did little to dissuade me from Leatherman. The worn Wave, Rebar and Signal have many years of abuse with only the sheaths failing to live up to task (big let down). Leatherman tools (American produced models) are the standard few measure up to. Regarding scissors, they are extremely valuable and sorely missed when not present. Thank you for the continued effort and dedication. 2w Andrew Goody Good to see some more MT reviews. Nothing has come out that’s taken me away from my S2 or Wingman, but I have to believe it will happen some day! Have you tried the Free P2/P4 series? They look interesting but for the price, I’m not sold on magnets yet. 2w Harold Galen McPheron It needs scissors... 1 2w Sheepdog Stage 4 Glock, Victorinox, Spyderco, Kershaw, Ruger gear clinger. 2w Sheepdog While watching this, I'm playing with my SOG Twitch II in stainless. I recently found a chip in my old Formica topped built in desk. It's right in the middle front of the desk, and is aboiut the size of a half dollar exposing the rough wood underneath. I realized it makes the perfect place to stab the tip of whatever pocket knife I'm 'fondling' (as Nutn has described it) while watching TNP vids. Mini-nirvana! 2w Sheepdog 14:40 "When I drive a screw... I like a longer shank"... I can't believe you laid off of that one!"

As an aircraft mechanic my center drive stays with me. Fantastic for taking out on the ramp just in case and it's saved me from having to walk far to my tool box many times. That's it's pou for me. A well suited multitool for mechanics. The pliers have been well suited to safety wire and have surprised me with how heavy duty they can perform.

I've carried a centerdrive everyday now for about 5 months now and it replaced my leatherman wingman. I love this tool the main thing I use any multi tool for is either the pliers or the screwdriver and i defintely havent been let down yet. The size doesn't bother me however I bought the slightly cheaper version that doesn't come with the extra bits (I have PLENTY and made my own bit kit that lives in my edc bag) and I made my own leather sheath that is lighter and smaller than the nylon one that comes with the tool. Now the real star of the show is the sheffield that you pulled out. I love the way the paint looked on it!!!!

I had a Gerber screwdriver tip break on me due to its brittle metal. I was using it normally not hammering on it or being rough with it. Never bought another one. Leatherman from there on out. My boss has had the same problem with Gerber. Who cares about a lifetime warranty if you've got to wait weeks for the replacement.

  • @hunterglaspell5580

The pliers are literally the same size as the surge, but has thiccer tips. Honestly the surges plier heads are a little thin for heavier work. Having had both I can put them side to side. Also the lock is made of metal, there is a metal plate underneath the plastic. Also there is a centerdrive with scissors.

I switched to centerdrive after another youtuber mentioned it. Never looked back. Haven't touched a leatherman since. Best tool money I've ever spent. Most used item is the screw driver, then knife, then pliers. I don't think I've ever used the scissors on a multi tool as I'd rather just use the knife.

One of my all time favorite MTs. My only major complaints are the pliers and the shape/size of it. Makes it always to carry but it's found it's dedicated place in my system as my truck MT, I've used the shit out of the driver feature and the main blade is one of the best main blades I've seen on a multi tool. Overall I'd give it an 8/10, it'd be a 9 if not for the pliers but I understand the compromise, the badass driver that is essentially the main feature of the system

Centerdrive has been my favorite MT for several years now. The driver is very very useful for me.
I just regret getting the combo with the tactical pen and "customfit" sheath. That sheath is not squared at the bottom, so it's shaped like a wedge. It cannot fit everything inside it like it's supposed to cause you can't push things all the way to the bottom. Do NOT get that sheath.

I carry a multi-tool on my belt almost every day, I must say that I go Leatherman has a multi-tool that puts its screwdriver in the center like this one does, I’ll be sold. Everything on this tool is worth the $100 to me for the things that I do, but that screw driver is an absolute selling point to me. I have one similar to this, with the extra bits and everything, but I’m hesitant to use the screwdriver, because it pivots on one side, that makes me more inclined to just carry and extra screwdriver, (typically my yellow ratcheting one), and the weight wouldn’t mean anything to me on the job site or in my shop in a million years.

Late to comments i know, ive run gerbers basic m600 for over a decade and the "better one" with replacable cutters, the basic one has served me well over the replaceable cutters that break easily. One big thing with these over a normal fold over multitool is that the pliers when closed can pinch your fingers, especially if you slip off the work piece and get some velocity closing it hurts. I have broken the jaws once but i was using it too unscrew a sink drain since i didnt have a basin wrench so the force was on the side of jaws not the way it shouldbe used:😅 gerber has scissors on the plus version on theze btw ima buy it and see how many years i can het outta it

I had one and kept breaking the cutter blades. Gave it to someone for their glove box. I am back to leatherman.

Don’t need or care about scissors. So the centre drive is a little more viable in my eyes. That said I like the Supertool, Rebar, Sidekick, and Wingman are my go to

I still love the SWISSCHAMP more than ANY multitool I own......call me crazy. stage 4. Especially these "multitools" with NO SCISSORS.

Bought one a few months ago, and IMMEDIATELY regretted it. Now it’s in my wife’s minivan.

Pliers and knife are deployable 1 handed?!?! Heck yeah. That's what I've always wanted! Except $115!! Maybe when I lose my current tool...... Which will definitely happen.

Actually the Longer Shank Phillips comes in Handy when I have to tear apart my Wife's Vacuum Cleaner..The Holder gets in the way with a Recessed Fastener..Normally I keep the Tool handy in my GoWorkBag..I slip seat Trucks Daily..I do know thow that it was a Great Help during Home DIY Projects...I think that it definetely was geared towards the Trades...I loved the "Commercials" but I agree that gerber should have taken a different approach and focused on the Tools strengths

Nice review. The center drive's extended driver looks useful, a weak point in most other MT's is the short stubby drivers. But no scissors on a $100+ MT??? Like you that's the tool I use the most for some reason.
