Hey Team! Just put time markers in the youtube studio to help navigate through the video, let us know if you like having that in there? (also check out surfshark if you wanna help support the channel 🙈😜)
Such a beautiful video you two. And I just want to say, I so appreciate how you take the time to discuss important issue like water security. Water is such a vital resource that many who are privileged to have access to clean water take for granted. On the other hand, it can have devastating impacts through flooding, contamination, and scarcity, and we need keep the conversation alive and action in motion to create cleaner and more accessible water systems around the world. So thank you for talking about it
@Monica Thom Completely agree with you Monica, very well said. I just stumbled across Levi and Leah's channel today, and am totally in love with these two! Excellent content creators, and very entertaining at the same time..
It's so great you put out this stuff. It's always nice to see people who appreciate similar stuff. The wife and I do alot of tent camping, but now I'm gonna have look at getting one of those little tents for the back of our subaru 💞
I'm so glad you even just barely touched on the water issues here in the SW States. I'm in S.AZ, Sonoran Desert region, & oh gosh it's a continual issue, in what almost feels like every direction for so long. Emma on TH-cam's "The Simple Environmentalist" does some great work talking about Las Vegas & surrounding areas. Shelbi on "Shelbizleee" has great stuff for areas more Texas related. But... Thank you. Also, if you're having a hard time finding recycling, try community colleges. Here in Tucson each one has a recycling "dumpster"! Outside Tucson, I can't say that as reliably. Finally... I love the science enthusiasm! I get that way too with the crazy rock formations & prior ocean beds, etc. Grand Canyon is pretty awesome, I'd recommend seeing it from both the a North & South rims, but you're probably long past that now 😆 Have fun!
Speaking of water related issues, I live in an area of California where water is predicted to run out in the next 5 years. Our house had lawn but we opted to decorate with Cacti and get artificial turf for the dogs. Most people in our area do the same and we recently traveled to Northern California where the lakes are shriveled up and it was 117 F and everybody has nice luscious lawns. I don’t get it
Rub a little tea tree oil with some coconut oil into the scalp followed by combing some corn starch or baby powder thru the ends of hair. Will clean and keep critters away.
Not only is that Encircle house a great community resource, but that house was STUNNING. The stained glass in the sitting room. No sides, only love… cuz a circle doesn’t have sides, hence ENCIRCLE! 🥹 Thank you for describing dry heat. I’ve only lived in Ontario, Canada and experienced the crazy humidity. Sweating in the shade 🫠. None of my travels have included desert-like, dry heat conditions. Looking forward to the Grand Canyon content!
Hi guys! I just wanted to comment that I loved the part with the LGBTQ+ Community center you shared that exists in Provo! I did not expect to see that and it was truly heartwarming to see a little bit of your tour and how those individuals are creating an all inclusive community within a very Mormon population. I loved it!
No Sides, Only L💓VE! Awesome video of your travels out West. Loved Leah's lesson on how Moab got to be 🏞️... Thanks for bringing up water scarcity issues 💦 There is so much to learn. Glad you got to shower... Keep enjoying life 🚗 on the road! Thanks for sharing your adventures. Twinkly lights rule. ✨
That's awesome. Looks like you're doing part of your journey in reverse to what my husband and I did these last two years. Last year, we spent a week in Moab, loving it and exploring it and we just got back two days ago from San Francisco. I'm enjoying your journey a lot. I look forward to seeing more as you go along.
Come up to the grand valley in Colorado just like an hour and half away. Grand junction Colorado and the surrounding area has some gorgeous scenery like the national monument and the Grand Mesa
So glad you guys enjoyed Utah! As someone who has car camped in Moab in July trying to sleep can be rough but it is so so unique of an area it is worth every bit of lost sleep.
Love your videos of your adventures. Thank you for addressing the issues surrounding water and water scarcity . I look forward to your shower video and hope you include info on Leave No Trace ethics that emphasize not using soap of any type in rivers and lakes. Best practice is to bathe 200 feet from any water source.
That was a nice mixed video. Beautiful hiking footage. Arches is gorgeous, I was there in 1997. Also saw the Grand Canyon in 97 and yeah, there is no way video or pictures describe its grandness.
Arches is awesome but personally I’d stick to spring, fall, and maybe winter. Also from BC and I’m a heat wimp. That’s the joy of having a free year… going in the right weather window.
Beautiful look at the Moab area. I was there a few years ago and love the rock formations. I live in Oregon and heard you'd just read Dune. It was the dunes on the Oregon coast near Florence that inspired the story. I'm following your adventure. I spent 5 years in a small RV, with my dog, exploring the west and southern parts of the US and love seeing some of it again. Thanks!
The first time i ran into a soda shop was when i moved to texas. I was raised in California, and lived in Northern states so it was a brand new experience. I think Sonic is the closest thing everywhere else.
15:58 "THEY even have a rule" I had to rewind several times! 😅 I first heard: "we even have a rule" or "Lev and I have a rule" I was so shocked, and confused and knew I must have misheard lol. (Though I've met people who've surprised me by say "we're down with it so long as they don't act on it.") Relief!
Awesome video you guys ❤️ loved when you mentioned how important water is. I’m from the island of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and we recently were hit by a hurricane. Not gonna lie it’s been tough. We lost our electric power and also water. Not having electricity is bad but not having water is another level of bad. We can’t cook, clean, shower or drink. And the little water we have (bottled) we need to save it for drinking so everything else is soooo difficult. Anyway thank you so much for another great video. Sending you guys lots of love and good vibes ❤️
So fun to watch. Y’all are so entertaining as well as enlightening. The videos of the scenery are amazing. Your hikes make me wish I was there. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
If it's not on your list you guys should definitely check out Death Valley National park in California, it has the lowest point in North America and is hauntingly beautiful.
I think the soda thing is relatively new in Utah, at least that’s what I read about it. If you went further north past Salt Lake City the mountains are spectacular, any time of year. Even just the view of the mountains from SLC airport (there on a long-ish stop over) was jaw dropping (they recently opened a brand new terminal, so this may have changed.) Also if you noticed really WIDE roads in cities, that’s an artifact from horse and wagon days, they made certain boulevards wide enough to safely make a u-turn in a wagon pulled by a team of horses (guess horses hate k-turns?)
So glad you guys decided to do the North Rim of the Grand Canyon! 10 times better than the South Rim. Before you leave Utah you must do Bryce Canyon and Zion!
Is it just me or is it fun to say “shade shelter”? Shade shelter. Try it! I was totally thinking you should watch Indiana Jones while out in the Indiana Jones desert! Also, the missing 411 stories and that 127 Hours movie makes me think anyone who goes in the desert will either immediately become lost or fall into a crevasse and have to remove an arm to survive. I’m glad neither thing happened! Love ya from that Abbotsford lady!
Welcome to Utah. Not sure why you chose to stop in Provo. You should have headed north to SLC. The choses in SLC are much more plentiful. Coffee shops, bars etc. The last time the LDS church was called Mormon was years ago. That term is no longer used. 😂 Provo is home to BYU. You were literally in the 💟 of Provo. Rugged Grounds, Juice ‘n Java, Peace On Earth, Enlighten Bakery, Coffee Pod are just a few coffee shops in Provo. Right down the street is the Velour Music Gallery. This is where Imagine Dragons, Neon Trees, National Parks got their start. It has one of the best Farmers Markets and continually gets better. You should have visited Seven Brothers Restaurant. This is their second location. First one is on the North Shore, Oahu. Just some info for the next time you visit.
The only thing that makes prius "a great camper" is its climate control feature in ready mode. Else, there are literally many other compact options with very good gas mileage- like Honda fit, Honda element, Toyota matrix, Toyota yaris, Kia soul, basically any hatchback if you remove the back seats etc. Living in a prius must include sleeping with AC on.
Love your channel 👍. Very inspiring. I urban camp myself in a 2015 Prius in the bay area California. I'll say I'm comfortable, but I'm solo. You guys need to trade that Prius in and get a hybrid Toyota sienna. It's Exactly like a Prius but mini van. You guys would have more room and less arguments. Lol jk. Great content, I love it. Oh yeah, Please Please post more🙏🙏 I got you guys on post notifications
Woot woot! Harry Potter books are fantastic! I've read, reread and listen to the audio books countless times. What are your Hogwarts houses? I'm a proud Hufflepuff! I live my life being kind, loyal and loving everyone, just like a true Hufflepuff 💛🖤
Question: why didn't you use the built in climate control system/ac of the prius to keep cool and to power your cooler? I thought that was the entire point of having a prius, electricity and climate control? Is there some issue people should be aware of that they shouldn't use those features of the prius? Why do prius owners even have solar panels, I thought the entire point was to use the super efficient generator that the prius is?
The Prius is ideal for keeping cool in hot times of the day due to all electric AC system. Oh my, running the car to keep cool? Not cool ! For any other car, except an EV that is absolutely true. Not the Prius though. Now don't get me wrong because I keep track of every kwh I use and live in a net zero tiny house and ride eBike most places and my family thinks I'm nuts for avoiding the use of the car as much as reasonable possible. Nothing against the van lifers, but compared to a 6000 # van full of stuff, or an ocean cruise your fuel usage for this expedition per person really rivals any kind of travel mode other than foot for energy efficiency. Analyze it anyway you like, but two people in a Prius is about as efficient as it gets...until some lightweight purpose built EV van comes alone...which will still have a ton of embedded energy. BUT to the point: surviving the heat in comfort is WHY most people choose a Prius!! I apologize if you already made this point in other videos. I have a 08 Hotel Prius, and it really uses almost zero gas to run the AC while parked for hours in the baking heat ..under a tree of course. The Prius was designed for it. Prius taxis in some big cities have had the engines running for years without a stop except to refuel and often sitting still in traffic or parked keeping cool til called. Think of it this way...If you drive 200 miles and rent a room to beat the heat you could have been cool as a cucumber in the Prius most of the hottest part of the day reading and working for almost a week or even two and used less gas and saved a ton of money on a room..and no sweat!! Now, my Prius is pretty old, and I replaced the OEM battery with a lithium HV battery, and now the ICE comes on MUCH LESS so even more comfortable and efficient! You guys are the greatest, and it is so wonderful to meet such happy, mindful people who are living a full life and observing the joy and well being we have the great fortune to enjoy when we follow the path! You are a great example to all!!
Hey sunny skies, I was wondering the same thing. Would you please let me know how annoying/loud it is when the prius turns on to charge up? Obviously you must have thought it was annoying enough to buy a lithium HV battery and have it installed somehow (any details on how to do this would be great). Does it disrupt your sleep? I am torn between a hybrid toyota alphard (which uses similar system as prius) versus a Toyota Rav Prime (Plug in hybrid with a built in 18kwh battery which can go for 8 hours without the engine needing to come on). The alphard has more space, but the toyota rav prime has the ability to go longer without the engine having to come on. I need to know how big of a deal this is for sleeping or living inside the vehicle.
The clear organisms ? In your hair, hopefully sand and not lice 😮. Also guys , we don’t really want to watch your brush your teeth while speaking to the world on your vlog. Don’t you have any sacred personal privacy moments ? (Honestly kind of disgusting watching your talk brush and spit )🤢

It’s the least we can do… being from the we(s)t coast we often don’t see or feel the water scarcity happening so it’s been very palpable for us. 🙏🏼❤️

Yeah there’s a lot of cognitive dissonance around these issues (sending this message from Las Vegas) 😬
I know right those dang crispy green lawns on golf courses just look so green. Nevermind watering your grass. Look at the entirety of the issue.
Rub a little tea tree oil with some coconut oil into the scalp followed by combing some corn starch or baby powder thru the ends of hair. Will clean and keep critters away.

I went to Utah and spent an hour looking for coffee.ugh that was a very rough morning
Born, raised and still here in Utah. Provo is much different than Salt Lake City. Salt lake has more bars, more coffee shops, more acceptance.

You guys are so adorable! I always say the same thing so I’m just wanna say best of luck on your travels !!!
It finally rained over here on the south coast. Definitely not enough rain though!
Glad to see you guys having fun!!!! Nice to see the Canadian card works, americans love Canadians. Drop that often for more special perks
Haha yeah we’re learning that! Another perk of being Canadian 😎👍🏼
I loved the little clips of Encircle! That was so cool :) y’all are awesome ♥️
You two are synergy! Can't wait to see your Grand Canyon experiences.
As an exmo living in Australia... so tempted to visit Provo just to go to Encircle.
There's multiple locations actually! You should see if there's other ones you might want to see!
I read the title and I asked myself “when did Nikki get the Prius back? She had the new camper truck.” 🤣 Then I realized it was you two!
Haha yes! Thanks for clicking! 🙋🏻♂️🙏🏼🥰
So glad you guys decided to do the North Rim of the Grand Canyon! 10 times better than the South Rim. Before you leave Utah you must do Bryce Canyon and Zion!

Beautiful scenery 👌🏾 😍 ❤️
Hi guys. I was wondering if you turn on hybrid AC at night time. Best!
Head to Colorado National Monument, you will love Fruita and Grand Junction. Also check out Palisade for their amazing wine!
Great video
Where did you get your mint colored portable fan ? Is there a brand name to it ?
Haha I was JUST In arches in Aug
God is good I am praying for you guys on your trip and just for your journey through your lives ✌️
I see Leah is doing the comments today.
also I was brushing my teeth. I feel special but also a little confused on that coincidence
Haha yeah she’s usually lurking around here but some days she comments

I advise you to visit the real Moab in Jordan, it's amazing.
It's probably sand in her hair. It gets stuck in my hair too. Love the house and a safe space for people!!! 🏳️🌈

Great content. New sub. Keep making great videos.
Great video! Will you be coming to Minnesota? 🙏🙏🙏
There is a brand called Moonshade that can attach o your car with magnets you should look them up.
I'm so sad you guys didn't stop by big sur
😎👀🤫💭 You two laugh and smile more than any other couple on TH-cam I love it .😆😅🤣😂😉👍👋✌
I did a road trip from BC to Arches once. Arches is so stunning. You didn't go to the iconic Delicate Arch?
We did but understandably it was packed!
thank you
It's like camping in an oven, the rocks do not cool off at night.
This. Exactly this.
Welcome to my place, the Beehive State💥💥💥 Mi casa es su casa 😀😀😀

First few comments creeew, happy to see another videooo
Thanks for being here!
Unrelated by my tv always freezes when playing your videos. And only yours. Has anyone ever complained about this?! 😂
Seeing the shop where you buy a soda and cookie on the side made me feel ill 🥴. Soooo much sugar, but coffee is bad and not addictive?
Honestly we couldn’t bring ourselves to but a cookie but it sounds gross haha
Oh no the one on leah’s hair might be nits or lice eggs 😭 probably best to buy shampoo that can treat those
During prohibition, soda was the replacement for beer...
Hey what campground did you guys stay at?
It’s called Devil’s Garden right in Arches National Park!
Dune!
Do you leave the car running at night? why would you need a fan if the car is climate controlled?
Because we don’t wanna leave the car running all night if we can avoid it 👍🏼
Are you still eating plant based? Has it been easy to do while traveling?
We eat plant based whenever we can but it’s been WAY harder on the road sadly. 😢 especially in more rural places
Extreme heat ? I've lived in my Prius in 125 degree heat in Arizona . I love when it finally cools down to 105 .
You sir… are a lizard. 😳
Also Levi, I think you should get a bigger water bottle
Theres ways to beat the heat and stay cool. Camping on black asphalt is not one of them.
Woah woah woah you just SKIPPED Southern California?! What are we chopped liver?
Yep. Get stuffed Southern California 👎🏼
Joookes we’re going there next week haha
@@LeahandLevi well if you make it to Long Beach I’ll spot you both a beer!

Excellent title!😅
Thanks 😅
11:58 What book did you read?
I think she said Dune.
@@sailorbrite Yup, it was Dune! Levi is halfway through it now too
Did you find out what was in your hair? Did Levi get them too?
Never figured it out but I (Levi) didn’t put my head under because of my ears being recently pierced 🤷🏻♂️
Could it have been salt? Utah has a lot of salt.
Hope you checked other places on your body that have hair....ummm ..you know where I mean.

Anyone else with misophonia have to skip the toothbrushing part? *shudder* Great video otherwise!
Stopped watching at the lice part.
Using a dark colored vehicle as a shelter is foolish. A white car would keep you 20-30 degrees cooler. Paint the roof white at least
I didn't mind the teeth brushing
We brushed them for you! Heard you had a tooth brushing fetish of some kind?
more teeth brushing PLEASE ; )
Isn't it dangerous and scary?
