    My grandfather who was born in Bardi, Italy (northern) lived to be 100. When he was interview by the local newspaper on his longevity his advice was to eat plenty of garlic and olive oil, walk. Mile a day, and to drink wine sparingly.

      Exactly, it costs a lot now, No doubt being financially free and not having to worry much about health care and other expenses cannot be overemphasized, making smart plans and setting up diversified investment portfolios is quite essential.

      That's why It's always good to have a financial plan, so you'll balance out your finances and focus more on mental and physical health effortlessly, I work with a portfolio manager and fixed income planner in the US. The fixed income serves as a buffer for the volatility of the equity and also bring legitimate returns.

      indeed, most people downplay the roles of financial planners until burnt by there mistakes. I remember just after my layoff 2 yrs ago, amidst the COVID outbreak. I needed to stay afloat, hence did a lot of research for licenced advisors, I'm up 2M now and soaring.

    As usual, a very informative and well-made video. It's I unfortunate that he doesn't mention "leucine threshold" which is important for old people trying to maximize their muscle protein synthesis. My thought though is for people 50 years and younger this video is relevant but for older people one needs to look at other videos like Dr. Lyon and Dr. Attia.

    Does delaying food intakes after exercise for 6 hrs affect “muscle receptiveness”.

  • @DrHZI
    @DrHZI 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Digestion is a meticulous and gradual process. When we consume food, it doesn't immediately break down into its constituent nutrients and become available for the body's use. Particularly, proteins, which are essential for muscle repair and growth, need to be broken down into amino acids. This decomposition happens over several hours in the digestive tract. Consequently, the amino acids are not instantaneously accessible to the muscles. Thus, the timing of protein intake relative to exercise is crucial for optimal muscle recovery and growth.

    People need to stop wheeling suit cases around. The other day I saw an athletic twenty something wheeling the tinest little suit case all over the place. It looked completely silly and was beyond unessary. Also a lot of people refuse to bend over and pick up things they dropped on the floor. It's as if it's gone forever and out of their reach.

    I love to get my protein from a plant based source. I usually make a protein drink with unsweetened coconut milk and a chocho nut protein powder. A 1/3 cup of it gives you up to 20 grams of protein. 2 tablespoons of Sacha inchi butter will also give you 15 to 20 grams of protein so good protein is not a problem to find. The problem that too much protein is not good because whatever you do not use up gets stored as fat. So just like everything else in life, in order to get the best benefits of your protein consumption, you need to find the balance between your protein intake and your energy output. Depending how active you are depends on how much Protein you need.

    I'm curious. I've heard Dr. Gundry say quite often that plant protein is the best ource of protein. But I've also heard or read him saying that he and his wife enjoy a small portion of meat once a month. If plant protein is the best, why eat meat occasionally? Is it just for the taste or something?

    I am 90 years of age. I have been following you ‘lectin free diet’ quite faithfully. I weigh normally only 130 lbs. and am approx 5’ 8” in height. Recently I find I have lost four pounds, which I believe I cannot afford to lose. I have not been eating beef, even though I can purchase grass-fed beef locally as I live in the country. I have always weighed between 130 and 140 lbs. should I be concerned with this weight loss? I have eaten chicken and turkey, (cannot find pasteurized though. I eat sardines once a week, tuna once as well, and for bread I bake sorghum bread. I eat millet instead of rice, free run eggs two per day. And three squares of 85% dark chocolate. Should I get on to the grass-fed minced beef instead of the minced poultry? I also consume quite a bit of olive oil. I do not use butter, and eat goat’s cheese a couple of times a week. I keep active with gardening and I walk around the house as I read, pray or whatever I can do. I do my own cooking, so I stand and move around the kitchen most of the day. I would greatly appreciate your comments in this matter. Thank you.

    just from top of my head: Don't use an iron skillet, don't put any cream/milk in your coffee, don't eat too much red meat or eggs, examine your poop, probably a few dozen more things. How much frikkin Iron do I get from cooking in an iron pan? I'm not shaving off the pan, and isn't iron also needed by the body in small amounts?
