Love this! The mutual affection and respect was obvious. It continued in their collaboration on Beautiful Star of Bethlehem.

to see a more recent collab between the two, and with the Christmas season coming up soon. Home Free and the Oak Ridge Boys did a song last year named :Beautiful Star of Bethlehem"....it's amazing, Actually the original Oak Ridge Boys were from tthe 1940's and they sang traditional Southern Gospel at churches

@@TheCurtisMagicUncleGijShow you'll hear the traditional sound of Southern Gospel in "Beautiful Star"...it's magical. Takes me back to the early 1990's when The Judds covered that one too

I am so glad you reacted to this collaboration between Home Free & The Oakridge Boys. You can see the great respect these 2 groups have for each other. The Oakridge Boys are mentors to Home Free & it is like they are passing the baton to a newer version of themselves. They have performed together on the Grand Ole Opry. Adam Rupp's vocal percussion is the best in the business. He can simulate drums & any other sounds perfectly. Home Free is my favorite a cappella group. They are so talented yet very humble guys.

Just saw these guys in concert last night, it is such a difference to see them in person. To hear Tim hit those low notes in person is sensory overload. You not only hear it but feel it as well. Such an awesome show at the Touhill Performing Arts Center @UMSL.

I've been a fan of the Oaks for years! Richard Sterban had the deepest voice I'd ever heard - till I heard Tim Foust! I got to hear Home Free do this LIVE about 2 weeks ago. No Oak Ridge Boys, but they do a great job on their own. They encourage the audience to sing along especially on the "Oom Papa Mau Mau". There were a couple of times when Tim hit a low note that I could feel my seat vibrate! (I was on the second row.) Someone else mentioned their collab on "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" from their online Christmas show. Definitely worth checking out!!!

Sweet version of it. Growing up, parents were not stuck to one genres, they played a variety growing up.

This was so good. Yeah Tim going low was so much fun. He and Richard Sterban were bringing it. Oaks are still good aren’t they? Love their collaborations with all the older groups and singers. They sing a great one with Kenny Rogers Children Go Where I Send Thee….go good. Good reaction CM&UG.

What a thrill this must have been for the fabulous HF. I love the way they pay homage with every song they sing and still make it fresh. Great reaction!

This is a great video! The arrangement was done by Geoff from Voiceplay. With Christmas drawing nearer I have two Home Free suggestions for you guys to check out: "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget" then "Full of Cheer." Both are original songs by Tim Foust and be sure to watch them in that order.

The Oak Ridge Boys and Home Free are each fantastic - together they're incomparable! They have another collaboration "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" that is just gorgeous. You also won't have seen Home Free's original "Stargazer Trilogy", comprised of 3 connected videos ("Give Me A Sign", "Stargazer Lilies" and "MR").

I see that Beautiful Star of Bethlehem has been mentioned several times, and for good reason! Also Home Free's new release Brother's In Arms will blow you away. Once again the guys have brought us a song with a message that is opening conversations everywhere! One of those messages that many people didn't know we needed. Great reaction!❤

Yes sir! All the superlatives! So much fun, can't help but smile! The Oak Ridge Boys have officially and publicly given their stamp of approval on the Home Free guys "passing the torch" as you could call it! They really love everything about Home Free and said they were extremely proud to say HF was the closest in music vocals and style to them and they were proud to look to Home Free as the ones who will best carry on the tradition of the Oaks for the future! That's some high praise and our guys consider it a huge honor! Home Free is different than other acapella groups and that makes them standout! They are SPECIAL! They are simply the best IMO, my favorite group of all time! Thank you for reacting!♥️😀🍟

Don't know if you know this or not...Richard sang bass for Elvis before joining ORB. To see the groups sing together again you need to check out their Star of Bethlehem. It is phenomenal!!!

If you haven’t heard “Do you hear what I hear” by HF, it is a must..arranged by Adam Rupp the beatboxer, and is a bass and percussion extravaganza.

Just found your reaction videos, I am a closet home fry since I saw The Sing Off season 4 way too late lol. But in response to how you react to the music you come across very relatable and like-able. Thank you for the fun video to watch while I stay up way too late on a work night!!

Kenny Rogers and The First Edition did it before Oaks with a funk to it from late 60s early 70s

This is quite a fun one and I love Tim Foust in this.
Off topic suggestion from both Homefree and acapella. Since singers could not do much new stuff over the last year and a half I started looking outside of acapella. Starting with the 2 judges on the Sing-Off Sara Bareilles and Ben Folds. That led me to a unique Australian artist (Ben Folds married an Australian and got stuck there during lockdown). Sara has done a Broadway and West End musical, "Waitress" and this guy has done 2 and is an actor, director, singer, songwriter, pianist who has played with Ben Folds and comedian (I am probably leaving something out 🙂) If you would give him a look it could be fun for your listeners. Tim Minchin.

If Tim seems familiar you might have seen him in Jesus Christ Superstar

Tim's 2 musicals are Matilda and Groundhog Day.

Hi Gij, I loved your reaction! Just one thing - you kept using the word penultimate - which means “second to last”, instead of ultimate- “not to be improved upon “, “greatest”, “unsurpassed”. It threw me off, but as I know what you meant I still enjoyed this video!
