His age? He literally is turning 28 today May 24. His fans are celebrating all around the world because we’ve been following this guy since 2017 and his birthdays are a big deal. This performance was August of last year when he was 27. You must react to his “Singer/ China performances when he was in a competition at 22. He attended as a wild card, was the youngest competitor from a foreign country both of which were unprecedented for that show. He lost first place by two thousandths of a point because China was not going to let some kid from Kazakhstan win that competition. He can definitely brag about seven octaves but he’s entering the eighth octave category too.

It was close, yeah. But, Sandy Lam, the "winner" is a gal with a 30year+ career and a tremendous fan base. Although I believe that Dimash was definitely on top of the competition, with no one near him, I don't think there was anything rigged about the outcome. Just a matter of numbers for the local favorite. Dimash, although invited to compete, was still a foreign entry.
You are so right, Pamela. I'd add that if you listen to all of his 2017 'I Am Singer' performances, in order of performance, you can see the audience learning to love his extraordinary talent. He is also no 'little guy' which many believe because of his slimness. He's actually 6'3" tall. I loved his performance of 'Unforgettable Day' (Gakku) and S.O.S. (Slaic Bazaar).

Dimash Qudaibergen was born on May 24, 1994,(Happy birthday, Dimash!) in Aktobe, Kazakhstan into musical royalty. Height: 1.91m; 6' 3'. Grandfather played professional dombra, grandmother was a teacher and sings.

According to Kazakh tradition, he was raised by his grandparents (Mama and Papa) and for a long time he kept his parents as his brother ans sister in law. They all live together in one house.
Dimash said: “Open my heart, you will find music. If you open my brain you will find music. Music is my life."
He has been training in music since he was 5 years old, has a perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. Dimash also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with honors’. He has composed 12 of his own songs so far and is currently working on his doctorate. We have to call him soon Doctor Dimash Qudaibergen. 😃
Dimash did not fit the traditional image of a singer in Kazakhstan and was criticized. Even his voice teacher forbade him to sing in falsetto ( Interview with his voice teacher - th-cam.com/video/V7hkcKYAnhg/w-d-xo.html ) ... but he was not deterred, won many national and international competitions.
In 2016, Dimash turned down the offer of the National Opera in Astana because he wanted to go his own way ... He created his own genre: neoclassical combined with classical, folklore and other styles such as pop, rock, R&B and jazz. We laypeople say 'Popera'. 😃
Dimash is independent and has full artistic control over himself. He founded his own company named Dimash Ali.
In 2017, Dimash surprised everyone in China. He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today Dimash is a 'cultural ambassador' for his country and a 'national treasure' (not an official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot.
Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian (without accent, second language in Kazakhstan), is learning English and Mandarin. He says dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him. So far, he sings in 13 languages. He trains his voice for 3 hours every day, ..but Dimash said: "You don't need to know how hard I've worked, you just need to enjoy the results".
Experts consider Dimash to be a lyrical baritone with a typically long range. Dimash says of himself that he is a tenor. Some believe that he does not sing his high notes as a countertenor but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano.

Dimash always wanted to be on stage. As a young boy (3ys), he would often sit in the audience at his parents' performances and run on stage when they bowed at the end, and he would do the same.
In his childhood Dimash trained Taekwondo. A Dear gave him knee pads, but he says he's so deep into his songs that he doesn't feel any pain. 😃 Dimash looks good, is one of the 100 most beautiful men in the world and a model coveted around the world.
Dimash is humble, kind, generous, respectful, reserved and very, very hardworking. He donates a lot of time and money to charity, supports people in need and always does so quietly. We only find out because some people feel the need to talk about it.

For me it is like a prayer for the world that everyone can understand, therefore there is no text in this version of "Ave Maria".

Igor Krutoy (composer and friend of Dimash) revealed the creation of the composition "Ave Maria" for Dimash, a composition that is included in the new album
(music. I. Krutoy).
Igor Krutoy's words:
" Italians like to say that each composer is worth exactly as much as his last work, that is, all the successes and achievements so far do not count ... and now) and I started to perceive my new compositions through the prism of Italians ...
One evening, about three months before "New Wave", Dimash called and asked if I could write "Ave Maria" for him, explaining it by wanting to sing something like that ... remembering the Italian formula of responsibility, I worked with inspiration until I achieved the desired result ... Taking a few days for the composition to "pour out" in my ears, soul and heart and I sent it to Dimash, who literally within half an hour replied that it was exactly what he wanted to hear.
And of course the reception and the standing ovation that the audience gave Dimash on "New Wave" speak of how lucky it is to do what you love, write for such a singer with a brilliant sense of music, evoke deep emotions in the audience and be desired. .. Katie, Dimash has been studying, training since he was 5 years old and Dimash told a vocal coach from Turkey (EMRE YUCELEN) that his vocal cords are longer than usual too, so he trained, studied, made it happen, after all, having this gift but not studying, training, it's something frustrating, but Dimash is persistent, in puberty the change took place, Dimash kept training and can sing as a bass baritone, tenor, soprano. Until today it's been 23 years of training and study (he's doing his doctorate at the university) Today 24.05.22 is Dimash's birthday, he turns 28 and we wish him health, creativity, professional and personal growth, achieving, fulfilling his most secret dreams. Breathtaking - Right!? His highest note is off the piano + he does a good resonate Bass. An interviewer once asked him whether he was a Bass - or Baritone - or Tenor - or Counter Tenor? -and he simply answered 'Yes'. If you go to the original performance of Stranger you will see what he meant. But there are a bunch of other Master Class performances to experience first. 'Love is Like a Dream' is one that you should both strap in for ( and possibly wear a chin strap too - to prevent 'fly catcher mouth' !} 😆😂🙃🤣👍 Enjoy.

Great reaction. But, one of the best examples of Dimash's talent is displayed in his performance of "Love is Like a Dream" or "Stranger". In case you don't already klnow, his range is 7-octaves + 2 semi-tones (C1 to D8, sustained...one note OFF the piano), which is shown in his performance of "Unforgettable Day" (Gakku version). btw: A song without lyrics is called a "vocalise". Not many singers can pull it off with perfection like Dimash. Also, "HAPPY 28th BIRTHDAY, DIMASH"!

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D #4 C #4 and B4 to G #4, G4, G4, D #5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!
Notice at the beginning when Dimash is getting ready to sing you hear the heartbeat slowing down before stopping then Dimash sings its like the passing of life to be greeted by the angels. To me this is the closest you will get to heaven without going there

Dimash is completely into the song (into the prayer), he IS archangel Gabriel foretelling Maria she will be the mother of the son of God ... the song begins with the softness and tenderness to calm her down, not to be afraid of his amazing presence, then he proceeds to announce God's will (The Annunciation), that she will conceive his son, and unleashes all the power of his voice, and he goes to an overwhelming finale with the sadness of her child's destiny...

I’m pretty sure Dimash could sing POTO start to finish-all the parts-all by himself. He can easily reach Christine’s highest note (E6-he’s actually hit a D8). Not as certain whether he can hit the lowest note for Don Attilio. (F2? I don’t think we’ve heard him that low yet, but he’s full of surprises.)

Yeah its great guys but man you have to tell her that this is just one from so many styles and genres that he can sing! Show her more Dimash videos and i can bet that then she will be totaly blown away! For example you can show her the best highter tone on the planet for all times when he sing like a dolphin ;)

Dimash's highest note for now is D8, but what you didn't know, that he can sing very low in 2 and even 1st octave. So this man is not just high notes, it's only 50% of his range. He is a bass, a baritone, a tenor. an alto, a mezzo and a soprano all in one voice.
