It works very similar to a quick shifter, but you may also start from neutral, put in 1st and give throttle without use of the clutch. It works different from a quickshifter but feels the same when shifting gears. The shifts a very smooth.
Thanks.....yes not every new invention survive the market. We will see if this is something. 45% of those buying a new Honda with a DCT option...choose that, no gear-shifter and no clutch-lever at all. That is surprisingly many. And quick shifter has been very common. The E-Clutch is a kind of quick shifter but with the option also to start the bike from full stop, without using the clutch. Ride safe 🙂
It would be kinda dumb to not buy with Eclutch since it's a quickshifter in it at the same time. I mean it's not a big price jump from none Eclutch. The price for a quickshifter can go around 200-400 dollars so. Plus i thing people are Abit afraid of Eclutch because it's a new thing.. it will be more common and later people will like it for what it is. Don't need to have it on 24/7 but it's nice to have if u stop alot like in city with heavy traffic etc
Its just a computer controlled motor/s activating the clutch. If the motor/s fails im guessing it reverts to full manual operation. It still has a clutch cable.
Honda has a history of only releasing new technology when it is good and reliable. For example the DN-01: not a sales success but that tech is still working very reliably for the owners of this 2009my bike.
Your video nicely explains and demonstrates the use of the E Clutch.
Thanks for your feedback
Can the E-clutch model shift gears while using the throttle when lifting gears like a quick shifter?

How well does this work to do a tight U-turn ?
No problem at all, I did when testride...
You always have the option to use the manual clutch for certain situations and it then works just like the old fashion manual clutch.
As it’s designed by Honda it will work well. Next generation quick shifter.
Hi looking for the episode about Your sheep skin seat cover. I can't find it.. Where did u buy the sides skin from pls?
Thank you
thanks a lot for feedback, I will bring it up again ..... alaskaleather
It's really clever, but is it something I don't need and something else to go wrong?
Can't make my mind up!
Good review, Svenster.
Ride safe 👍

hi.... Are you pulling the throttle in when shifting or are you letting it out?
Keep the throttle :-)
well that'sso easy made motorcycling so simple and uncomplicated!
