- I’m extremely proud to present you the first full live video track of the upcoming Ayreon Universe DVD/BD. I picked Everybody Dies, which is not only a personal favorite, it also features many of the amazing singers and a lot of mayhem and commotion on stage! This is a total bitch of a track to play, but I must say the band totally nailed it! Hope you like it :-)

Nah, it's expected. Mike Mills is the most underrated talent out there, but everything he does is gold. He's a monster on guitar, his vocals is god tier, and his drumming is top notch. He's a god of music.

I was a bit shook at the exchange with Karevik and Kürsch. The timing and specific note pattern of that passage (I imagine) must be terrifyingly hard to attempt live... Even for the absolute madmen that are Kürsch and Karevik.

3+ years after, that Floor entrance is still one of the best things known to man.

Radek Soboń so true! I love how she owns the stage \M/ but Floor never steals the other musicians show. She always so respectful and interactive with everyone, never excludes anyone. There's so much talent on this stage, wow

She is a force to be reckoned with! Once she called a guy backstage to fight after he was a sexist mofo to her. He shut his mouth and turned into a quiet little mommy's boy from that day on!

Mike Mills ... you somehow fear for those high notes, and he goes and throws in an even higher one, just for the fuck of it ... dude is amazing, what an awesome show it was ... and it was over way too soon!

4:09 The way that Michael Mills sustains his voice while Floor is coming and he's stll being shown while the transition is happening is fine editing.
My favorite part. And his voice adds so much to Floor's entrance.

Agreed, everyone else is getting mad props (they should still) But you can't deny that Tommy absolutely slayed the hardest part of the whole 2hr concert, right here.
I saw the choir and I think: "what, Floor on backing vocals?" And she appears and I realize that was Irene hahah
On Arjen's live DVD for his other project, Star One, Floor and Irene do the background vocals as well as some lead. They look so young and of course Russell Allen and Damian Wilson kicked ass. Arjen does the guitar work.
It always happens to me when two of them are on stage at the same time. "Wait, is she on choir, what about her solo? Aaaaaand yes here she is, ok that's her sister."
Everyone is talking about floor but tommy and hansi singing to each other was PURE BLISS. HEAVEN ON EARTH! I CANNOT EXPRESS MY FEELINGS RN. If only I found this gen earlier... Also I need to see this again throughout my lifetime...

I am brand new to ayreon... nightwish, dream theater, and symphony x are among my favorites bands. Never heard tommy or hansi until I watched the day the world breaks down...them singing to eachother on this song was magical
Can you just imagine the energy through the audience? Tommy and Hansi (all of them) were having so much fun performing.
Every one of them are amazing dude, but when floor enters a room the world turns around her, that's the true hahahahahaha

Tommy always looks like he never knows what the frick he's doing onstage. Just kinda doddering around in the background just in case someone needs him. It's honestly my favorite part about seeing him live.
Everybody on the stage killed it, but I especially can't get over what a badass Magali Luyten is.

I have no idea idea how she does it, but somehow as soon as Floor starts to sing she manages to make me forget that just a second before I saw this awesome duel between Tommy Karevik and Hansi Kuersch, two of the best singers Metal ever had to offer
Don't forget about Matt Barlow.
I really liked Floor´s performance, usually I dont like her singing, shame Simmone Simons was only in chorus I prefer her much more.

Sorry but this is definitely not Hansi's best performance, he's out of breath, he's rambling his lyrics , and once you start to notice it's kind of off putting. On the other hand, i do agree, Floor was on point!

I just love how Ayreon always has both the metal sound and elements of like a, Broadway musical or something! Dramatic, epic yet such catchy melodies, just amazing! Everyone sounds so good here!

First 90% of the song.....oh my god, so many awesomely talented musicians and vocalists, absolutely performing at the top of their game, I truly believe that I have witnessed the most perfect performance I have ever, and will ever see........

Arjen, I know I'm a few years late here but please ask Maggy Luyten and Lisette van den Berg to be part of your next awesome album! Especially Maggy. After watching a few videos from this concert I'm really in love with her voice, a definite highlight of the show!
Besides the absolutely beautiful music and talent, the thing I enjoy the most about these live videos is to see how much of a blast everybody is having, both on and off the stage. The musicians are smiling and having fun, the public is jumping and singing along!
That's what good music does, everybody enjoys their place and when they get home, they are happy for being there.

I'm not sure if there was ever a song that was harder to perform live. I like album version better, but I have unfathomable amount of respect for all the people who managed to pull this off.

I already love the album version so much, but the live recording is just stellar beyond all reason (that seems to be a trend with these kinds of groups). I cannot even IMAGINE the stress of trying to keep all those moving parts from running off the rails, but these killer performers and technical professionals made it happen. Absolutely fantastic stuff.

also , Floor's part is heavily edited too. (just follow Mike Mills at the end , he is moving very fast !) I was actually concerned about how they gonna edit this specific song. but they did a good job to hide the mistakes.
I felt bad for him, but it IS a tricky song (I imagine) to get right! And frankly, it sounded wonderful anyway

Why shouldn't he? He's the hub of the whole song! But I think Joost is having the most fun! Can you imagine playing those riffs on keyboards - pure heaven! Plus he is the architect of the stage show and the arranger of the music - Arjen's right hand man!

The base player, the balding guy with the beard and long hair., looks like he is having so much fun with this song. Everybody is making this piece look so easy, the timing so point on. It such a fun song. It makes the world getting ready to blow up sound so happy.
