- And here's the final preview video from the last Ayreon 'Live beneath The Waves' DVD/BluRay: Fate of Man. Maybe it's weird to not pick a song from the 01011001 album, but this song really stood out for me... such energy on stage! The band is just amazing as we all know, I'll never know how they manage to play this complicated song with such unflappable ease. And what about these breath-taking vocals from Brittney Slayes? She's unbelievable, right? Let me know if you agree... thanks and enjoy!

@@ArjenALucassen: Arjen, what you do is so unheard of, unless it's a holiday or other special occasion, that it is mind-blowing to me when what you make turns out so well.
Because when you've got tracks like "The Day The World Breaks Down" (which, by the way, might be a record on the number of vocalists in one song), and then you make Fate of Man, bringing in a vocalist you heard sing karaoke in a Scotland bar (which itself is shocking), and then you put on a show like this -- honestly, Arjen, you could probably change the name of the show to "All-Stars of Metal" and nobody would notice, lol.
Because that's what this concert reminds me of: In the States, for various team sports like American football, basketball, baseball, even hockey, we have "All-Star" games that brings the best players of all the teams together to play a game for the fans. And you, sir, do the same thing when you put on shows like this: You bring in the best musicians, vocalists and instrumentalists, all together for an album or a show, and us fans get auditory works of art that blow our minds.
And I, for one, could not be more grateful.
So thank you, Arjen, for your sheer genius and brilliance for making these gems that us fans get to hear, and in so doing, have our minds blown. Because you are to progressive rock and metal, what Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish is to symphonic metal. And I could not be happier, knowing that talent for making music isn't dead like I thought 20 years ago.

I have been grateful for that, because I've just found an awesome 20 year back catalog to catch up on! All the singers (especially the backing singers) are awesome, as are the instrumentalists. Brittney is just amazing in this one, it's perfect for her. You definitely have the skill of being able to write for your artists' strengths so they can show their best.

Marcel told us after the last show that she went in without rehearsal cause of jetlag and that the other singers only shared one general… all and all it was the best of the best shows I’ve ever been to. The whole weekend was magical! Thanx to everyone! ❤

In the Facebook Ayreon Fan Group a few years ago there was a poll who you would like to see in a next project. I suggested Brittney Slayes with the remark that not only is she an incredible voice she also would would fit in as the nice person she is. And I included a link to an amateur Karaoke video of Brittney performing Queen of the Reich. I still like to think Arjen saw that post and that started this all 😄
I promised my stepson (who I introduced to Ayreon and now is a huge fan) that we would go to the next Ayreon concert if I could get tickets. I was lucky enough to get my hands on two VIP tickets and I can honestly say,... This was the best concert I have ever attended. And Brittney slaying Floor's parts and Fate of Man was the icing on the cake. What an incedible singer she is. What a blast we had that night. Just received the blue Ray's to relive it all again. 🤘

One of my favorite songs of the show. It has so much power, especially because of Brittneys outstanding and perfect voice. But all the musicians and singers did a fantastic job during the whole show. The backing vocals are also from another planet. Singing on that level in every single song in 5 shows in 3 days, that is fantastic. Thousand thanks for the great show to Arjen and to all others, who made this possible.

The best part (well, there are multiple best parts... they are playing on rotation in my brain, vying for attention)
is the absolute JOY that all the musicians show on their faces. Johan looks like he is on the ride of his life, yet he, Ed, and the Lull are providing the very pulse that drives this song. Truly, Masters of their art. Marcel is stunning, fluid and precise as ever... how can he maintain sync with Joost without the visual cues?... the click must sound like a blur!!
The heart of this song IS the Master Clock of a manic machine. It feels sooooo right, for this to be a T2 tribute.

What a performance. Was there Sunday evening, best concert of my life. Slept in the same hotel as most musicians, was lucky enough to have breakfast with Brittney, her little one and Maggie. They were the most humble, sweet and down to earth people you can imagine. I am in my 40s and a seasoned business man, but not gonna lie i was quite starstruck. Next year, if there will be something going on, i will be there the whole weekend for sure.
Just a small proposal for the next album Arjen: you could do a full female storyline. Brittney, Floor, Simone, Marcela, Irene, Maggie, Anneke etc. ... a man may dream ... whatever you will put out it will be great and i will be here for it. Thank you to all members of the Ayreon family for enriching my life with all the beautiful emotions.

Only feedback I have is that I liked when you had the track name appear on screen in past recordings and would have liked it here. Even the band name would be cool for non-Ayreon tracks like Fate of Man.

Holy crap, this is one of the best live performances I've ever seen, from everyone involved. But of course Brittney still manages to steal the show! Insane!
This Live beneath the waves is outstanding, Brittney slaves is amazing even on stage, backing vocals are very good too, synth guy amazing, guitarists, drummers... ouch the level is very high, beautifull stage and good lights too... the only criticism would go to the video editor, too many cuts with random video shots, the guitarist does a crazy solo stay on him, why you send 30 shots in 10 seconds I have a headache! Thanks Ayreon people, thanks Arjen!
