Tbh, this looks way too basic to be considered AAA. Think this may be considered a big release for Quest users, as the majority of titles for the that platform are short, shallow and very low budget. But in the real world of PC and console gaming, this is far from a AAA game. Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Gran Turismo 7 and Half Life Alyx, are all real AAA VR titles and this game comes nowhere close to those in budget or scope.

Respect for reviewing this massive game. I didn’t pay much attention to this as a freebie when I bought my quest 3 but lately watching previews and this video I am really looking forward to it. Looks like something I’d have paid for but to get it free…Ho!Ho!Ho!…. But wait I need to finish Resi 4 on PSVR2 first. Decent December for VR.
What are the visuals like in compared to quest 3 and psvr2? I don't mean graphics, more lenses, the pancake lenses in Q3 sound great but the psvr2 screens have better blacks... do you prefer one over the other in terms of clarity?
Same here. I thought nothing of it when I saw it was the game I was getting for free with my Quest 3. I never had PCVR (only VR I had before Quest 3 has been PSVR 1 and 2) so I never heard of the first game before. After seeing all the early previews it became one of my most hyped games for the year. Only game I had more hype for this year was Zelda TotK, and maybe Fire Emblem Engage since I’m a big FE fan.
@Adam-mo2qw I'd much rather have the quest 3 pancake lenses over the better blacks, yeah the better blacks majorly help makes games a but more realistic and a bit spookier in dark areas, but the clarity that the quest 3 lenses give you in my opinion far outweighs the benefits of better blacks
The lens in the quest 3 make a huge difference for sure. Clearer and without the sweet spot issues of PSVR2. Plus you can’t beat the freedom of stand alone. The MR is actually more fun than I expected. But for me I enjoy the benefits of both. PSVR2 has some great experiences too that mainly leverage the horsepower of ps5. If you can only go for one though for me I’d start with quest 3. It’s a great piece of kit with a lot of great games
Thank you GT! Really appreciate your objective review! And thank you for all the time you put into this one! Looking forward to diving in even more now!
I get that they didn't provide a quest 3 enhancement. After all, there are more quest 2s out there. Plus the game looks truly epic on quest 2. I have no idea how they managed it. I can only assume they used the extra power they released on that update they did a few months ago. I imagine it will have a quest 3 enhancement in a few months time. Better lighting, a bump in framerate and resolution perhaps. Nothing more than that I assume.

Thanks Dan.
Does anyone have any thoughts on whether this is actually worth picking up a quest 3 for? Am currently on psvr2. Am a tad concerned it won't be appealing visually (if you compare this to the pcvr original there is an obvious drop). That's not a criticism. Am genuinely interested in views. Thanks all.
Yes. I have the PSVR2 and just got the Meta 3 last week for this game.
Awesome and worth every penny.
Do I have to have a PC in order to play it on a quest two?
No need PC to play it on quest 2. It's stand alone.
Very good review of a very good VR title it seems, thank you. It‘s a shame though that this title is Quest exclusive, like the first part of AW. First part could be played on PC via revive though, is there any chance this game will be released for PCVR sometime? Guess rather not, thanks to Meta
You can play any meta games using revive on pcvr , i was about to buy a q3 till it popped into my head revive software about i was an early adopter of vr 10years now , quick check on it other day yes all comments saying can play quest titles as well hope helps ; ) th-cam.com/video/HRU_kEkVyPE/w-d-xo.html
Yeah I highly doubt it.
check attached video also read there comments many happy and using and playing meta games with pcvr , used software in past does work mate hope enjoy @@bigmakbm1
There’s a chance for sure. I’m guessing it’ll take years.
I doubt the first will ever get ported unless this game becomes the most successful game in vr of all time or something ridiculous
I mostly hate puzzles. But since the game is "free", I'll give it a go
Download unlock time or install size?
He says 32gb
I dont understand this. Asgards Wrath 1 was PCVR and lookes soooo good!
Looks like an incredible game.
Definitely below Assassin's Creed Nexus and The Walking Dead SS 1 for me. A lot of content, but it just doesn't nail the VR aspect as well as they do.
Feels like it was made by some people who don't play VR but think certain things would be cool in VR.
How many GB?
32GB
Damn this looks good! Sold!
Very exciting times 🎉
A 10?...
I mean, on par with Ocarina of Time, Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption 2, Half Life: Alyx, and Baldur's Gate 3?
I purchased the Quest 3, so I'll have the game for free...
I'm just skeptical of the hype, especially after the first game.
I was too. When Meta told me the big game of there’s was Asgards I was like 🤷♂️ who cares? I was very wrong
A Quest 2 game released as a sweetner for the Quest 3. WHY didn't they release a Quest 3 version of this. As good as this game is.... it is a Quest 2 game, and hardly showcases the new headsets enhancements
Sounds great. Even if there was just 10-20 hours of gameplay and it's this much fun, it's already a win. Nice.
Ign said it took 90+ hours.
@@Aaron408in the notes I have it now clocks in 130+ for completionists
32gb for game. Eeek i ordered the 64gb. Wonder as games evolve how things will go with the 64gb version. Potentially not much longevity unless games can be streamed 😢 🤔
Should’ve been just called Asgard’s wrath: something here instead of “2”.
Yeah I said this a while back. Something like Loki’s revenge or something
Shouldve been the first quest 3 exclusive, couldve been even better and a pitential system seller...
Holy s%$/!! Ign gave this a 10!
Why can’t this come out for PS5? I’m not buying a quest vr just for this.
Cause Meta owns the Studio that made it. That would be like putting GT7 on Steam
@@GameJunky513 oh dang, then it’s never coming out for ps5 then. Might have to buy a Meta Quest 3 then. Thanks for the info
Id never spend that kind of money on one game i was interested in. Must be mad or filthy rich. Theyll update the head set in a years time.
@@TexasLionVFthat’s exactly what I would do. I go where the games are if I can afford too.
thanks man. you talked me out of this shitty game. I HATE puzzle games so much and it sounds like it puzzle after puzzle and no fun. I dont wanna play puzzle and i sure am not paying $60 to do so. TY for showing me how puzzle bad this is ^^
This looks like the biggest VR game ever and it will be better than HLA
Woop woop!
Better graphics than Half Life Lynx ?
Where is re4 review?
Beware of spoilers guys.
Asgards Raarth lol
First!
🏆
yay
Looks like a Mobile Game.
Fifth
sooooooo spoilers review
I don't get the hype for this game. Looks like the same boring gameplay loop as every other VR melee RPG.
This game has been mind blowing for me . Loving it
It looks amazing! 😮
