Bill loves to break chops, but as you will see, he is actually one of the nicest guys Pete knows and was someone who was incredibly helpful to Pete in the early stages of his stand-up career. So, like most episodes, Pete does his best to recreate helpful, funny and wonderful conversations they've had to share with weirdos everywhere. Oh, and the funniest anti-marriage rant that's ever been recorded. So... look forward to that!

Relatively new Bill Burr fan here.. I'm amazed at how many audio podcast things there are here on youtube featuring him. Its excellent listening to while doing my things. Also, on practically all comment sections theres people complaining that the host never lets him talk, which proves how entertaining he is.

If you remove Pete interrupting Bill half the time , laughing into the mic so you can’t hear bill , it’s a much better interview. Pete , please listen back to this entire interview , you’re a thoughtful , funny guy, cut that other crap out 🙏🏻👍🏻

Pete Holmes was fantastic, Bill burr was fantastic. They aren't having a conversation to impress anyone. They're just talking. If you don't like any of this podcast, it's because you don't like the comedians. You can pretend like you know about comedy, but theses guys are real. They are comedy. It is their job, and their life.

I am a life long fan of stand up comedy (only 30 years old though), everything from Carlin, Kinison, Pryor to Louis CK, Bill Burr and Chappelle. So I like to think I have a good idea of what makes stand up comedy work, as an outside observer and appreciator.
But I still really enjoy and respect Pete Holmes, his goofy, genuine demeanor is refreshing to me. He's not a jaded fuck talking about how much he hates people (which there is nothing wrong with, as I am very guilty of being a pessimistic asshole and some of my favorite comedians are that way too), he's just Pete Holmes. I can get behind a natural comedian, nothing seems forced from him, to me.

It's unbelievable how much Bill Burr is a professionnal. Holmes (the other guy) didn't even let him breathe and kept interrupting him and I still found him funny btw but fuck I would have exploded over two minutes with this fucking arrogance disguised as "I'm just a nice guy" and Bill sat there for 1 hour 40 and still found the way to put a fucking perfect closing rant at the end ! I'm seriously fucking impressed like HOW THE FUCK CAN THAT GUY BE THIS GOOD !!?
Bill did this because Bill really like Pete in real life. They may not be best friends, but Pete has a better connection with Bill than you will ever have.
This is not doing a Tonight Show puff piece, it's him visiting a friend and doing his show. It's not Hollywood politics. Pete just likes to laugh and participate. Even his own best friends (Chelsea Peretti especially) gives him constant shit for being annoying, but hang out with him, because he's a nice, funny, straight forward guy who is very friendly and genuine.
Bill and Pete are friends ? Well maybe but I don't really see that possible. I'm curious how you know that; and don't tell me it's because he once said "My good pal Pete Holmes" because comedians publicly call other comedians their friend all the time. And again I actually find Pete funny, but extremly annoying at the same time.
