I've bought 5 of those type of units, all different Chinese makes, and all have the same problem: too hot. I've put in-line pumps on their respective water inlet pipes, and still they're waaaay too hot. They're all rated for LPG (not natural gas) and I feed 'em LPG. I welcome any informed suggestions on how to get my HW-on-demand units to work well. Years ago, I resided in Asia and installed a half dozen similar units, and they all worked fine. Over here in the USA, they don't work for me. Do they have flow-restrictors built in? I'm miffed.

Hi, I’m considering ordering a TTulp water heater similar to yours but I’m confused over your gas connection? It seems you’ve used a rubber calor pipe from the unit but it then disappears under worktop? Does it then clamp onto a copper gas run? Via a fitting? I’m on a canal boat. Cheers

Yes it does connect to a fitting via a copper pipe and then connects to one of the 4 gas taps by the sink, which then connects to the gas bottle with a gas regulator.

Hello again John, sorry to be a pain but I can’t seem to find any info for my problem, I live on a canal boat and have been using a Fercali instant hot water heater for approx 4 years which has now decided to leak water from the gas valve unit, sadly the spares are no longer available so have to buy something else, firstly do you a 12v water pump to feed the Ttrupe? Or are you on a mains water supply? If on a pump can you tell me what size it is ie litre per min and PSI rating? Also have you had any issues with the water heater? Only I’ve read online that model is very sensitive and can turn itself off “mid shower”! Thanks for your time, Andrew

Hi, I use a 12v water pump, no idea what the psi is sorry. Not had any problems with a shower as we are going to put in a separate self recycling shower. We only use the boiler for washing up and the sink in the bathroom.
