There seems to be an issue with "Arnnie Frankenfurter" in the testing map. In campaign, it's normally quite good at shredding vehicles and buildings as well.
Yeah, basically the three units you get in that mission are insanely good vs certain type of units. Battle fortress with all of them onboard is enjoyable to watch.

Apocalypse Tank is designed to destroy vehicles, not infantry. The only vehicles that can 1v1 a T rex are Slave Miner, War Miner, and Tesla Tank (assuming no promotion, most Elite Vehicles can).
Fun Fact about the Hollywood Heroes: In the Mental Omega mod for Red Alert 2 you can find them in the first Allied Co-operative mission where you are defending LA from the Soviet invasion. But they side against you and join the Latin Confederation forces that have seized the area
Also in the Lukemod version of Mental Omega, they become part of the main faction's armies. For example Allied gets Rambo, the Terminator and Flint Eastwood(using cowboy sprite). While Epsilon gets Mummy and Dinosaur.

I can understand the mechanics behind the President and cows not being aggro'ed by enemies. Under most conditions as the Allies, he was in a cut scene, and not near enemies, and as the Soviets in just one mission in RA2, you're supposed to mind control him, not kill him. In some missions in RA2, and MAYBE a mission or two in YR, you're given cows if you discover a secret area, and you can use them and their poor sight to scout without them being slaughtered by the enemy...literally. XD Generally, in RA2, if you mind control a civilian, or civilian vehicle, the enemy won't care, and won't attack it unless the enemy commander gives the order, allowing you to freely scout with civilian units if you're Soviet. Same general principle with cows. But in YR, they made mind control a more prominent tool, and made mind controlled victims more obvious, so Yuri can't scout so easily with the same method. (Hence Psychic Reveal. He's more likely to mind control civilian units to send to the grinder for money.) I don't know how the enemy would respond to a mind controlled cow. Also, my Legit reaction to a President IFV: WWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I hate that they cut out voice lines of movie characters in an update due to risk of being sued. They were using movie quotes but now (at least in my version) only have regular GI quotes.
As I remembered in skirmish a 8 players map (forgot the name) there is a unit called "technician" which wield a pistol like weapon that had the ability to capture vehicles. This can be unlocked by capturing the repair vehicle tech building. Not sure if it is a modded unit tho
@@NebulousOdious It's a rules.ini setting, and as such can be used within map files in unmodded game e.g. for online play using CnCNet (www.modenc.renegadeprojects.com/VehicleThief explains how it works). If using it, add it to a spy, as the tag puts entry cursors over some buildings too with no effect (which can be a confusing GUI behaviour for players expecting it to do something to buildings, but on a spy, it's not so confusing as they already have building behaviours defined). :-)
When the game was new I used to play a lot of ranked and once came across a cheater who could train President's from his barracks. At the time I had no idea what was going on, needless to say his president IFVs beat me pretty fast.

Otherwise, Flint and Sammy have the same attack as a Navy Seal and Terminator shares the same attack as Tanya, but all 3 of them are more durable (same health, 'Plate' armor instead of 'Flak"). I also noticed that their performances in this test are inconsistent with the campaign. The heroes do not flee when they are being shot at, and Terminator is about as effective as Boris against vehicles.
The president use a weapon called CowShot, It's a clone of PrismShot with custom color. The only thing that confuse me is how can the president could change the turret but animal can't even they have same IFVMode?
I've made a RedZone map with these units added and beefed up e.g. Arnie gets AA misses and on elite a new rapid laser weapon, Clint gets AA gun that 2-shots a rocketeer, Sly has better distributed fire gun and weaker grenades (more fun as less OP), Technician can heal infantry, Jeep can heal vehicles, Fire Truck can heal buildings, T-Rex can hunt (like dog behaviour), Mummy has base guarding behaviour (and on elite a new chain-lightning attack), etc etc. Maybe you'd be interested in making a video? My end goal is to get a series of balanced units people can copy-paste into their own mod maps. If anyone wants to play it, leave a like, and I'll upload it and put a link here for it. Thx all.

Hi, quick question since you know a lot about map editing, do you know how to add a rubble overlay on a map i.e. as per destroyed buildings such as oil derricks leave. I know buildings have a rubble tile for the theatres they support (snow rubble for winter theatre, different desert rubble for the desert theatre, etc) but don't know how to place the overlay in a map directly (using FA2). My goal is to make an area which tanks and infantry can go on but where players cannot build on (to stop base crawling and have a set area that must be fought through with units, such as the center of a map). Any help would be appreciated. My googling was fruitless so far, and in some of your videos your maps already have rubble. Or is there anything else that can be used e.g. a "cannot build here" tile. Thx.
Weapon has a projectile that can't shoot over walls and tries to land on cell behind building. It's warhead can't damage walls. Therefore the projectile lands in front of building repeatedly, damaging nothing as it has 1cell AoE. It's a "feature" not a bug, because everything is behaving as specified. Adding walls=yes (damage walls), or a projectile that shoots over walls fixes it, lol.

Unit had vehiclethief=true flag set, so could steal vehicles. Flag can be added to any unit.

Hi, quick question since you know a lot about map editing, do you know how to add a rubble overlay on a map i.e. as per destroyed buildings such as oil derricks leave. I know buildings have a rubble tile for the theatres they support (snow rubble for winter theatre, different desert rubble for the desert theatre, etc) but don't know how to place the overlay in a map directly (using FA2). My goal is to make an area which tanks and infantry can go on but where players cannot build on (to stop base crawling and have a set area that must be fought through with units, such as the center of a map). Any help would be appreciated. My googling was fruitless so far, and in some of your videos your maps already have rubble. Or is there anything else that can be used e.g. a "cannot build here" tile. Thx.

Weapon has a projectile that can't shoot over walls and tries to land on cell behind building. It's warhead can't damage walls. Therefore the projectile lands in front of building repeatedly, damaging nothing as it has 1cell AoE. It's a "feature" not a bug, because everything is behaving as specified. Adding walls=yes (damage walls), or a projectile that shoots over walls fixes it, lol.
