- This is my entry for the July 2021 Soap Challenge. It was my first time making a framed soap, and I struggled to get uniformly thin slices of soap. Also, I show my new cutter, which will replace several pieces of equipment. (Sadly, my famous green wire cutter had its limitations and one of which is that it is no longer available to purchase.)

When I made my first frame (I made Pandora’s Box from Hellraiser for Halloween last year), I used the mold only, and it worked out great. I even piped the gold decorations on first and made the box.since I knew I was using the same mold I was making the frame for, I just made 4 separate pieces in that same mold and they fit together perfectly. Made the batter thin so it would be even. This was awesome, though! You did fantastic!
How fun!! I have yet to try making a framed soap - you did a great job with it! Thank you for sharing your process. The abstract art is fun too, and I hope you'll try making something that goes all the way through the bar - sounds like a great experiment also!
