    In this video, I cover the top 10 mistakes you definitely want to avoid when buying an e-bike. Trust me, mistake number six is a big one!
    Know Your Riding Needs: Are you commuting, off-roading, or just cruising the city? Choose the right e-bike for your lifestyle.
    Battery Range Awareness: Check the manufacturer's specs and real-world reviews to make sure the range meets your needs.
    Consider the E-Bike's Weight: Lightweight bikes are easier to carry and transport-important if you lack storage or need to maneuver it often.
    Plan for Repairs and Maintenance: Be prepared with the right tools or find a reliable shop for regular check-ups.
    Don’t Skimp on Safety Features: Ensure your e-bike has good lights, reflectors, brake lights, solid brakes, and always wear a helmet.
    Test Before You Buy: Try different models in-store or rely on trusted TH-camr reviews to find the best fit for you.
    Check Warranty and Support: Research the manufacturer's warranty and read online reviews to gauge their support quality.
    Know Your Mechanical Skills: Be realistic about your ability to handle repairs; ensure you have support if needed.
    Avoid Focusing Only on Price: Don’t just go for the cheapest option-look for the best quality within your budget.
    Consider the Future: Think ahead-if you might fall in love with e-biking, opt for features that accommodate future needs.
    Watch the video for a detailed breakdown of each point, and make sure you get the best e-bike for you! 🚴‍♂️🔋✨

    A lot of people including myself live no where near any ebike dealerships so we have to depend on fantastic reviewers who test ride and breakdown everything about the bikes .

    For Number #1 Always make sure the Spokes in the Wheels are made of Stainless Steel, not Aluminium. Ali will snap under the stress of motor hubs. Thank me in advance

    Good advice. I will add to consider what level of sophistication you want & need. I wanted to commute over terrible pavement all year, so I prioritized belt drive, front suspension, and good brakes. That all came at a cost that was well over budget. Yet I have no regrets.

      Wise indeed @charlienyc1 ...I like that...write it all out as to what you actually need....and get it....might be an extra few bucks but then you'll ride it and hopefully recoup the extra money spent :)

    Excellent criteria... and #6...yep, rent a bike/test ride a few e-bikes because you will get valuable insight into what features are important to you... I remember when I jumped on the Mukkpet and how instantly I fell in love with the suspension seat post. Bumps no longer had a direct connection to my lower back. A big upgrade from the MacMission design. So just trying a small variety of different designs can offer huge assistance when deciding on features that you "need" versus just "want". Great video TIm. Sammy says two paws up...!🐶

    I just got my car paid off, and it's in good enough condition still that I can get a decent amount for it. So I'm planning on selling it and switching to an Ebike as my only means of transportation. I've been doing a lot of research lately, and it seemed like the Lectric Xpedition was the bike for me. But then I saw the Aipas A6 which is basically the same bike but with tons of upgrades everywhere for 100 dollars less. My cynical nature is telling me that deal is too good to be true. But all the added features are very tempting. Like I'd even be willing to pay a couple hundred bucks more for that than the Lectric. But I don't see many reviews on the Aipas A6 out there. Does anybody else out there have experience with the company? Or could you do a video comparing the two (including how their customer service is)?

      Sounds like an awesome plan @IgabodDobagi
      So I haven't heard or reviewed the Aipas...but I would check other TH-camrs and see if they have reviewed it.
      Also check what happens with repairs/parts...see if they can get these to you
      And do you have a repair shop that can help.
      Also and I didn't add this to the video but are the batteries certified?

    Dyes u do need hydraulic breaks

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No....as nice as they are to have...unless you're travelling at a high rate of speed regularly then they're no necessary and add a few bucks to the bike. I like them....but they're a luxury at slower speeds :)

    #1 problem with ebikes - you own one, what does your partner ride? Consider your fleet needs as more portable and shorter range to start before buying a 35mph one!

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @ahowl7mx my wife rides one too...solution :)
      Do you mean for transportation with the car...I did find a used bike rack (heavier duty)
      and it works fine...feels a bit sketchy but it worked :)

    • @ahowl7mx
      @ahowl7mx 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @TimsElectric Yeah bike racks work but ebikes are so heavy and the wheels too large (I have 26inch wheels). Its complete overkill. Take the eRide Pro SS, its 50mph and weighs 135lbs with 19 inch tires. Folding bikes shouldn't be pushing over 100 lbs for 20-30mph or just get a solid frame.

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      fair ideas indeed :) Although I did get a bike rack with wider tire slots for my ebike and narrower ones for my wife's :)
