I searched Amazon for the cheapest e-bike I could find. I landed on the EB5 by Jasion. Did I waste $300, or should you buy one of these budget e-bikes too??
Treat yourself to a new hat! You deserve it! www.riverbedhatco.com/
Imagine the UK and much of Europe limited to just 250 watt motors..... Excellent bike and review of it!
Ok as far as the take off with throttle only..Try this. It normally works this way with half throttles. When you twist the throttle, twist it twice and hold. It should give you full power from the motor. I had to do this with the razor mx350. I don’t think many people know this hack.
I think viewers should realize that with pedal assist you are not relying completely on the motor to get you up the hill so it’s less likely to stall as it did on the video. This is a less expensive bike so it will not have as much power as high end bike.

Great video! Although this bike isn't what I'm looking for, I like your presentation. I'm 60, with arthritic knees and right hip, so I'm looking for something with more power and range. It has made me rethink how I approach buying my first ebike on a very tight budget.
I'm happy to hear it was able to provide you some value, Ron! Thanks!
The step over is not as easy you would hope.
Just bought a 500w Heybike. Seems like 350 would not be enough. 500 is barely enough. Was $500 on Amazon plus some freight. Strange that al l of the gauges etc are identical on the Heybike as yours.
Good review...bought one myself this week and its working great. Just hope it holds up over time!
Thanks! I'd love to hear your feedback as you put miles on it. I'll be back with my observations as well at about 500 or so miles.
Handlebars also need to be swapped out for a more swept-back design. Straight bars didn't cut it!
Straight bars were great, I had to swap out the stem to get a better angle for riding.
I use mine for commuting to work and home

It's not like a regular bike weighing 15-20 lbs. Lol
Get your feet wet with this e-bike and decide what real bike you may want next season. Don't spend $1,000 on an e-bike. Go closer to the $2,000 price point or get something like this. Even $1,000 you may be wishing you went ahead and got the more powerful one with the bigger battery. My battery alone cost more than $500
...any bike that don't got even rudimentary fenders don't get my vote...super crappy pedals...wonder why they didn't just wire the rear LED light to the battery, if the front one is? I could do without the COLOUR LCD - the rear light is more important...Looks/sounds like it's more like a 250 watt motor...
Do you think it would perform with the same result on trails?
Gentle trails, yes. I wouldn't take it downhill or on anything you expect to leave the ground. The forks have a warning sticker on them that says "Do not use for downhill or freeride".
I am 5'3" and wonder if that one inch out of range would make for a sore ride?
My wife is 5' 6" and can put both feet flat on the ground with the seat at the lowest. I feel it would fit you just fine!
@@RiverbedRides Thank you for both the video and the prompt response.
I finally switched from a 26" to a 20". It was getting too hard to swing my leg over and mounting and dismounting were less than graceful. I'm 70 and 5'4". Don't do a Biden dismount.
The problem with the bike design is they make a one size fits all.
I was about to buy one of this. But on like steep hill wise you need to help it out on pedaling wise? This would be my first electric price. Was looking something cheap for the time being to take me to my first job and such like responding to volunteer fire department calls and such. I do have a normal type bike. But would like to try a ebike wise.
The motor is just too underpowered to handle any kind of real hills. If you are already riding those hills on your pedal bike, it wouldn't be much different than what you're already experiencing. But once you're on flat, your legs will get a much deserved break.
@@RiverbedRides even on steady type decent incline hills? As I don't have a problem on a decent hill but steep one like forget it. Gonna push you up lol
@@brettphillips5267 The bike will do just fine on a steady incline, but a steep hill like the one in the beginning of the video, the bike had no chance. Most of the mileage I put on it in the video was steady hills and the bike did great.
a good battery is worth more than this bike.
i would not trust the battery at this price ,fire hazard
E BIKE 😂😂😂😂😂😂
