I think this series is the first time I've seen zackscott experience an emotion other than humor
1:52 The problem is you CAN'T get the RYNO any sooner because the Gold Zurkie Arena was locked until after you came back from Zordoom and by then it's already the point of no return. The same can be said for the RYNO 4 and the RYNO 5 but at least in A Crack in Time you still had a whole new Sector to explore for you to use that heavy weapon on.
5:08 This was supposed to be the very first pocket rift you find normally if you just looked around. The Map-O-Matic feels so useless in these later games after A Crack in Time because when you are near somewhere those items start popping up and everything you can get is pretty accessible the first time you are in that planet since you have everything you need to explore. There is a reason the Map-O-Matic exists to begin with and it's supposed to help in finding secret areas that you wouldn't find normally and they be marked green.

Yeah, it’s supposed to be hidden in ways that you wouldn’t know it’s there without the map o matic. Wonder why they didn’t really hide anything in this one
@@valeriereneeharper It's the same issue with Into the Nexus and both Into the Nexus and Rift Apart suffers from lack of replayability and little to no proper exploration on top of the games being way too short. More of a reason why this franchise should have ended in A Crack in Time.

If the PS5 has backwards compatibility with the PS4 you might be able to find the 2016 remake at gamestop or if you buy PS now the 2016 remake was recently added to it along most of the other Ratchet and clank games

It is powerful on standard enemies but doesn't so that much damage on bosses why did the weapons runs on stats the ryno 8 could have been much stronger but the most powerful ryno without them

It was a good series while it lasted
What happened with Ratchet and Clank as a series was Insomniac wanted to make a followup series on the PS3 (Known as the Future Saga) after the success of the PS2 titles, but A Crack in Time was apparently meant to be the final game in the series. Sony and fans kinda pushed Insomniac to do another Ratchet and Clank game, which led to spinoffs and Into the Nexus in 2013 just before the PS4 released (A lot of dormant or legacy franchises got sequels released in 2013 for the PS3, but not for PS4, like God of War and Sly Cooper).
After that, Sony signed a deal with Rainmaker to make a film on R&C, and wanted to do a tie-in game. At this point, Insomniac wanted to walk away from Ratchet and Clank because they wanted to make new IPs and not be just "the R&C guys," similar to when they worked on Resistance. Insomniac ended up making Sunset Overdrive with Microsoft (Now a Sony IP), and did FUSE with EA. With the film releasing, Sony wanted to do a tie-in game (which was a lot better than the movie), so Insomniac kinda said "sure." Since it was a reimagining of the original game, it's inbetween a remake of the first game in terms of elements and gameplay, but a reboot in terms of story. While developing this game, Insomniac got the opportunity from Sony to work with Marvel on Spider-Man.
I know that when they got the dev kits for the PS5, they wanted to make specifically a new Ratchet and Clank game and a new Spider-Man game (to be fair, they already had ideas for a sequel to Spider-Man, but it was probably easier to do Miles Morales as a form of "testing the waters" and remastering the first game). Rift Apart is similar to Dread, as some of the mechanics of the game were always planned for a R&C game, but the technology was never there, especially since the PS4 had long-ass load times. The PS5 removed all of that, and went the next step and added Adaptive Trigger resistance and Haptic Feedback. Because of this, the plan was already laid out perfectly.
I do think a sequel is there, but you probably won't see it until after Spider-Man 2, or Wolverine. Insomniac is a larger studio compared to Sony's other studios, but this game will probably be dealt with by the NC team like Into the Nexus and 2016 was. I am unsure at the moment.

I'm not sure if you guys think this is natural or not, but there's always a good time to start from the beginning and then to the present, like for example, Zack have not played Rachet & clank one of the old games yet, but yet again he plays the most recent ratchet & clank game
I have many gripes about this game even though I like the franchise. The main one being here, did Ratchet ever repair Clank?! He makes it seem like he's back to normal

So in all seriousness, for your first Ratchet and Clank game you weren't half bad. You learned quickly how this game works while it took me till challenge mode of Going Commando for me to finally understand how to make the game easier on me. Although again the more recent Ratchet and Clank games are much easier compared to the older games but you almost beat Emperor Nefarious without getting hit.
You were so lucky against nefarious because that last hit of the ryno did 30% of his health

Emperor Nefarious never knew defeat, never knew humilliation. So when he finally faces some, he can't accept it. Contrast that to Dr. Nefarious, who has never known victory, but has learned to take that in stride.
And like Dr. Nefarious says to Emperor Neferious, he knows nothing of winning. Because he has never known defeat, he doesn't know it's opposite. To him, winning is normal, expected, and so he has never had to deal with the resistance he encounters in Ratchet's Dimention. It drives him completely mad, to the point where he was even willing to destroy the multiverse to avoid "losing". Unlike Ratchet's Nefarious, he never gained any strength of character, never grew internally, and so completely collapsed when he was put under the slightest bit of stress.

This was a nice series.
So here is the thing with the RYNO 8 THE RYNO IS SUPPOSED TO BE A RIP YA A NEW ONE NOT RIFT YA A NEW ONE! This is not a RYNO because what a RYNO is supposed to be is a super deadly heavy weapon that either launces a barrage of rockets, shoots a rapid death shot that deals a ton of damage, an energy cluster cannon that vaporizes everything around it. An heat seeking laser barrage weapon, or a flurry of bullets that scatters everywhere in front of you playing music as it destroys all your enemies.
What do we have here, it's a dimension weapon that makes things fall on enemies. THIS IS NOT A RYNO Insomniac. BTW, the RYNO 8 is worthless against bosses.

The challenge mode is just exakt the same game only much harder but you keep your guns and lvl on them and you can lvl them even more to lvl 10 i think it is
I do most like the gladiator thata the best game of them all and there you get a story of the orginal vilan not the copi i have played that so much that i have all guns max and can all maps and evry thing other stuff on them and that one is acutly much more usful to lvl up your wepon becoose when it gets to a mile stock the wepon do upgrade so much more would love you to play that one gladiator dont know the real name some say gladiator and some say the other name for it

Ah poor emperor nefarious has such an over inflated ego can’t even admit defeat when he’s been beat. Dr. Nefarious however knows what it’s like to lose. That was a cool game, never played the other R&C games as I was a Nintendo kid but this was a cool story.
