Growing up in yonkers...our next door neighbor had a huge pear tree. My grandma used to make us go next door and steal the pears when we were kids. Lol. She used to make the most delicious greek pear desser with them. The whole house used to smell so good. I miss her. She passed away in her sleep at 105.
You need to open a restaurant. Im so impressed by everything you can cook and bake. Most chefs dont know how to make many of the things you do until they are well into thwir 40s. I will continue to watch you until you stop making videos. Love them and you Kaleb.
My son loves poached pears. I made them for Christmas one year and sprinkled edible gold leaf on top of them just before serving. They were beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

The husband and I had a fabulous cheese, and wine course at Victoria, and Albert's at the Grand Floridian Hotel at Walt Disney World over ten years ago. They paired Maytag bleu cheese, poached pears, date nut bread, and a glass of port wine. Our server instructed us to take a bit of pear, cheese, and bread, and hold it in our mouths and then sip some of the wine, and let it combine. Hands down the most fantastic flavor ever! Anyway, I've made it at home many times using other poaching recipes that are never quite right. I think yours is the key, thanks.

Do you have any new videos cause the holidays are finished now so..........oh & who has the original farmhouse you or ur mom ??
These look so decadent. I would try leftovers ( like there would be ANY...lol) perhaps folded in a delicate crepe with a creme anglaise drizzle, or tucked into caramel-y bread pudding....heaven 😊

Problem... the peel did not stay red in the poaching liquid. They've turned a muddy color! What happened?
