Her manager isn’t given enough credit in the sense that he was there for Susan when she was upset at 41:20 he instantly hugged her and comforted her. I think its so amazing how much he genuinely cares and doesn’t get frustrated with her especially as she has a disability. It’s just so heartwarming.

I love Susan's voice. When a CD of her music was being sold at a pharmacy here in Florida, l bought it and gave it my sister for Christmas. She loved it. I lost my sister when she was 59 yrs old. She really enjoyed Susan's voice. I'm glad Simon took time with her.

She had a bad Aortic heart valve but we didn't know it. When l'd take her grocery shopping her lips would turn pale blue so I'd give her a magazine to read while l shopped for her. Then l'd have her sit in the car while l loaded the groceries in, then l'd drive her back to her apartment and get her on the couch lying down while l put her groceries away. I miss her.

I was a singer when I was younger but I didn’t reach the level she has. I was invited to sing in many churches and religious functions but I’m 87 now and I’m blessed with a lg. Family. 69 totaled to 5 great great grandchildren.

The thing about Susan that always gets me is, she may have a mild intellectual disability, but her emotional intelligence and empathy is a lot better than many people.
The most hauntingly beautiful sounds that are ever heard are created by those whose souls have been tested in the crucible of cruelty. Take a long look into the childlike eyes of Susan Boyle in photos as a child and later as an adult and they will show that she passed through that crucible early and often in her life. Then listen to the heartfelt sounds that come out of her mouth and see yourself brought to your emotional knees every time. That is the real power of 'love' in her. She took it all for decades, right up to and including the sneers and jeers of thousands as she stood on stage that fateful night, and then she opened her mouth and 'loved' her enemies (detractors) to death. Prejudice had trapped them all and she knew it. So, with a little wry smile she opened her heart and her mouth and brought the thousands present to their feet even as they were emotionally falling to their knees from that power of forgiveness and love that was coming from inside of her. She had trapped the guilty and then set them free all in the space of a 4 minute audition that night and, in the end, showed the world the visible image of "hope" when there wasn't much hope to be had back in those dark days. I love Susan's voice. When a CD of her music was being sold at a pharmacy here in Florida, l bought it and gave it my sister for Christmas. She loved it. I lost my sister when she was 59 yrs old. She really enjoyed Susan's voice. I'm glad Simon took time with her.

@@MaryAnn-pd3pm Thank you, Mary Ann. She and l were friends as well as sisters. I'd go over to visit her and we'd listen to her CDs of Diana Ross and sing along to the music. She had a bad Aortic heart valve but we didn't know it. When l'd take her grocery shopping her lips would turn pale blue so I'd give her a magazine to read while l shopped for her. Then l'd have her sit in the car while l loaded the groceries in, then l'd drive her back to her apartment and get her on the couch lying down while l put her groceries away. I miss her.

Some time laughter is a place people hide in to cover the pain. I’ve been there and I am 87 and I find I’m still in those places at times.
I was a singer when I was younger but I didn’t reach the level she has. I was invited to sing in many churches and religious functions but I’m 87 now and I’m blessed with a lg. Family. 69 totaled to 5 great great grandchildren.

The most hauntingly beautiful sounds that are ever heard are created by those whose souls have been tested in the crucible of cruelty. Take a long look into the childlike eyes of Susan Boyle in photos as a child and later as an adult and they will show that she passed through that crucible early and often in her life. Then listen to the heartfelt sounds that come out of her mouth and see yourself brought to your emotional knees every time. That is the real power of 'love' in her.
She took it all for decades, right up to and including the sneers and jeers of thousands as she stood on stage that fateful night, and then she opened her mouth and 'loved' her enemies (detractors) to death. Prejudice had trapped them all and she knew it. So, with a little wry smile she opened her heart and her mouth and brought the thousands present to their feet even as they were emotionally falling to their knees from that power of forgiveness and love that was coming from inside of her. She had trapped the guilty and then set them free all in the space of a 4 minute audition that night and, in the end, showed the world the visible image of "hope" when there wasn't much hope to be had back in those dark days. I know it's true because she did just that for me at a time when I needed it most.

Well spoken words are like creative music, when composed in a beautiful and creative light it can lift the darkest soul or soften the hardest heart and is truly a lost art. :)
We all begin our life’s often fragile journey beyond the certain safety that is our family home where all of the comforts of security in life do quietly abide with all of the cherished memories of the times of our innocence. We know that they are surely being left behind as we give our very hearts to stepping out beyond that comfort zone for one last time, never to return but, steadfastly looking ahead to the challenges of the future, not knowing whether our fate will be for good or for bad. Soon enough, we find out that both good and evil await us in many unexpected places and at unexpected times along our journey. Years pass like a fleeting wind flowing across the sands of time.
As the long decades pass, we often think of those days of our youth and contemplate the worth of our days. Time has a way of showing the marvelous handiwork of our lives through the ebb and flow of our experiences, especially through those who have suffered the greatest afflictions along the journey of life. Seeing broken lives wonderfully revived and reaching new heights is a true testament to the greatness of the One who made us and how He uses us to show the world what possibilities there are abiding within those lives given over to Him to do with as He will. Susan Boyle is one of the greatest examples of this.
