How Not 2 definitely need to test the diamond carabiner to failure!
. I just found that the Black Diamond pilot requires a specific type of carabiner. HMS carabiner to be exact.
"Lâcher" means to drop, to let go off in french. So yeah un (a) lâché. Careful though cause un lâche means a coward if use to call/describe someone, but you can say "lâche" for example to your dog to tell him to drop off of whatever he's holding in his mouth. Also used in this way "il m'a lâché" can means "he bailed out on me", more of a slang use of the word. That's about it for the little french lesson 👍
I climb at the Atlanta bouldering gym, trust me that dude is just strong and made it look like v1 it’s much harder. It’s interesting because I think the camera angle can make something look much more or less impressive.

Took me a total of 2 seconds to find the speed climber falling video, it was insane, bro honestly had enough time to open up and enter a skydiving pose
Polish media quote his father, that he went through 12 hour surgery, has a broken pelvis, legs and one foot. Conscious and stable though. So as you can imagine it was pretty serious. It really seems like a nightmare, especially that it can happen to everybody.

What I think about what would be scarier, getting hit by a car at 112km/h or falling 50 meters. I would think falling would be scarier while it's happening and before. Because when you get hit by a car it's instant. But falling, you can notice that you're falling and you know like oh shit i'm gonna probably die.

No you can't, that shit will bend and break open the gate immediately at those kinds of forces.
Gold is so weak that people used to do a bend test on supposed gold coins - real gold can be bent by hand. So no, it absolutely can not take a whipper. Also it's tiny lol

The frame is the load bearing part of the carabiner. I’m not sure if you’d want a pin holding your weight. 🌚

Yeah maybe 🤷♂️. I think one of the biggest strengths of a carabiner its simplicity. Think about all of the additional mechanisms you’d need for the dual gate one to automatically lock when the opposing side is opened - they’re all just additional points of failure.
