DominoLarry yeah you're correct but the whole point was to be the square root of your age... that could work with anything like 2042+3 is 2945 which is the square of 45, but it makes it more special when your age is the square of that year, that's the point he is making. Hope I helped

PBsquilz yeah he knows he's just saying that if you are 45 in 2025 not only will you be the year's sqrt but if you take 20 and 25 (as you would say twenty twenty five) and add them together you get 45, which would be your age

I was born in the year 1999 and I'll be 49 years old (7 squared) come 2048. It might not be as significant as any of the scenarios mentioned in the video but it still definitely feels special to me. 7 is my favorite one-digit number and it's still an instance of being a square number of years of age in a year that's a power of 2, which has got to count for something, right?
Also I can't believe it's been 6 years since this video was uploaded already, I miss 2015 so much, probably my favorite year I've been alive.

I was born in 1980 too, this is a great little fact to know. My favourite part of it so far has been since the year 2000 you can take the left two digits and right to digits to get my age. Not as complicated as this but it should prove useful as I get older and my memory goes about how old I am.

Cure for cancer is a subset of solving the death problem.
If theres a cure for cancer there may have already found a medicine to prevent it to the point where noone knows what it is. However theres still a possibility that nothing would change and they will also tell the time using something on a wall rotating and uses a battery that stops working every once in a while.

Obviously the best year to be born was 1 B.C. That way you turn 1 in year 1 (there was no year 0 which can mess some things up), and 1 to any power is 1, so you are simultaneously in every root or your age.

I was born in 1980 as well, and just recently celebrated my birthday. What I've always noticed and loved about being born in 1980 is that from 2000 and up, I can immediately know how old I will be by adding 20 (the first two digits of the year 2000) and the last two numbers together. So for example, in 2030 I'll be fifty years old (20 + 30).
Watching this video in 2019 and discovering how people in 2015 used to live.

the only problem with matt getting excited about the fact that he'll be the square root of the year is that his birthday is dec 22.
so he'll only experience it for the last 10 days (the last ~2.7% of the year) versus lets say someone born earlier in that year.
