Because of your videos. My broken body retired ass is starting to gather stuff to start trapping. Give me a couple of years. Washington has some different laws I'm learning. I'm too pretty for jail. Lol . Thanks for the videos .
Aight J I’m now 2 for 2 using your bait. Caught a bobcat yesterday morning on one set and a coyote this morning on my second set. I made 2 more dedicated cat sets today.
Saw 3 bobcats while late season doe hunting today, or more like one momma carrying a rabbit and her two little ones following behind! Never saw one in person before but I've seen sign and trail cam pics a year ago. Too bad I didn't make it in time to get a tag, MI regulations are weird and I missed the time limit by a few days. I didn't know the little one stuck around mom for so long, I wouldn't really want to catch any of the trio anyways.
4:15 mark..... That is a cellar hole, or a "basement" to an old home. Would be a GREAT SPOT to metal detect! At the 7:20 mark...that is a "modern" round nail. Guessing that "slab house" could be around the 40s or later. Square nails, and then you would have something!!! I currently have four metal detectors. Once you get one you will be HOOKED!
Would it be better to drill holes in the mouse traps and screw them to the inside of the box so they cannot move the trap away from the door to get inside? Wouldn't make it hard to set them, even if they are screwed down. That piece of metal you found, before the nail, you said, was it a razor blade, looked to be one-half of a rectangular hinge piece, that attached to the door. If you could only go back in time, to see what was there, years ago, when it was built. You may be able to find old platt maps, that could show who owned the property and if there was a home there. Have a great day.
Sinkhole was probably the old outhouse. People that hunt for artifacts in those situations always try to locate and dig the old outhouse holes because they would throw some great stuff down the hole and obviously it’s protected from damage and then when it all hardens it’s encased. Great for old whiskey bottles and even dropped coins, knives and even old pistols
The pile of rocks at the beginning of the video are to mark the edge of the very old property lines. That’s how they were marked near me during the late 1800’s in Michigan
Stay tuned for more episodes of “ Adventures with Trapper J”. I love finding old places like that, so cool to imagine life 100+ years ago, and find artifacts from the era.
Hmm strange finding crock remains and pieces of glass on land in Kansas that for sure was a frontier homestead at time or another . Oh and don't forget the brinks also from a newer 1900's style house also along with a strap hinge and such.
Do you think Flair has ever been back there? How amazing would it be to own a property so big that after a few years there are still areas that you have never been to.
J you made a comment the other day when your started catching those rats. I have been watching for a while and always wanted to ask. You said you were going to just throw the rats in a grinder or blender. Is that the only way you make bate. I'm not going to try and steal your business just curious how you make the bate and get the idea for different " flavors ".
It's obviously where josey wales lived when the red leg burned down his house wait nevermind josey wales is fictional. I'm just going to pretend this comment is the tree in the woods that falls with nobody around to hear it

When trapper j says “idk maybe 5 inch… it’s tiny” ….. welp 😂😂
Im sure the coyotes, beaver and bobcats are super grateful you discovered rats and rat traps. lol
The trapper J bait works caught the big Tom bobcat this morning. 25 lbs. cat. Not bad for south central Alabama.
Maybe that old foundation pit looking thing was an old root cellar?

Those dirty Rats! Nice to see you're starting to figure them out. Can't wait to see the new body trap work.

Happy New Year Trapper J
I used your stanky beaver on some mud piles around my pond. Caught 3 otters so far
Flair should promote this channel more than Brad the builder because this is some good stuff

That blue stone is gold
Dialed on the rats….thanks for bringing us along!
Looks like a good place for a metal detector
Metal detect that foundation! James Gang long lost loot stash was in that area...
That big hut was built pretty good. Weird.
It'd be cool to see you make some jungle style rodent snares/traps to try out on the rats!
Chimney brick is high fired . The chimney collapsed when the house was torn down or burned .
Trapper J put a trail camera on the pack rat hut
Would be fun to search that old foundation area with a metal detector.
Great video
Need to use a metal detector around the foundation after trapping season is over
You should tell Flair. He can metal detect at the abandoned ranch.
Do you think Flair has ever been back there? How amazing would it be to own a property so big that after a few years there are still areas that you have never been to.
Good work, keep them coming👍👍
3:54 what's in the upper back left corner is it a structure
Flair will buy the metal detector and you use it
hi trap looks like u come across old windows and hinges at that spot
An old homestead, apparently! Glass, strap hinge, stone, possibly foundation.
Cool find! Lots of history there! Long before Flairs
It's like an opal
Looks like an old house or barn
Glass maybe from shooting bottles back in the day
Maybe the old homestead got hit by a tornado.
TJ is a rat master. God bless
👍🏻😎🇺🇸
