I just love this song. The voices are hilariously corny and over-the-top, but it works. The flute is great, as are the drums and the guitar. And the lyrics crack me up.
The singers are powerful, and well fit to the song, of course, it has as many elements of Chant as it does music as most people think of it. It doesn't invoke beauty as much as it invokes strength. Good piece, and thank you for uploading it!

I can almost hear this as a marching song for the Silvers, as it does kinda strike me as a cadence with the usual music one might have found in a mideval technologied army.

@ARP7777777 Just because they might be done poorly doesn't mean they shouldn't be done. If whoever does do it is worried about upsetting fans, have Lackey participate in making it, and give her enough authority to do some good.
What's the first word in the line that goes "??? and desperate, the day is all but lost"? I can't catch it; I looked at three lyric pages and they all agreed that it was "Amazed", but whatever the tenor sings there, it's got three distinct vowel sounds which don't fit "amazed" at all.
+SingularCherubim I'm hearing "situation desperate, the day is all but lost". (and yeah, most of those lyricssites use some sort of bot to transscribe the first draft, which while close, occasionally seems to miss some words).
"Theres just one chance you have to win, send in, the silver gryphons!" screw that, just send in Nightwind, Kel, Darian, and Keisha! Theyll surely win!
This song is from a book series written by Mercedes Lackey. The books that focus on the Gryphons are "Black Gryphon, White Gryphon, Silver Gryphon" I'm not sure that's the exact order you're supposed to read them in but I got them in the mail last week and will be reading them for the first time. but I've read some if Misty's (Mercedes) books before and I've loved all of them, even the early books where she didn't quite know her style of writing and could technically be counted as some of the worst of the bunch (because she was still inexperienced at the time).
The gryphons appear in a lot of the other Mercedes lackey books as well. almost all of them after Winds of Fate...But the Black/White/Silver gryphon trilogy focus on them :)
If this wasn't a recruitment add for a semi-modern adventuring guild then I don't know what would be
