    Update: There have been some questions in the title of this video which are very fair upon review.
    If you go to 07:00 in the video I show a company making $21.6M a year which is $59,178.00 a day. Later I show a company making $1.2M a year which is $3287 a day.
    However, the title was based off a company which makes $4.2M a year and equals $11,780 a day. After reading the comments I see this part was edited out as well as how I came to the daily number. We will put out a clarifying video.
    Additionally I should note: the point of this video is to look at companies that are already selling to the gov (what you intend to sell) so you can see how much they are making. This is the only way to truly understand what you can potentially make selling to the government.
    I want people that are thinking about government contracting to understand that they do not have to guess when it comes to this. All the numbers are there for people to see. It's very important to approach government contracting with an honest understanding of how hard it is to win contracts how long it takes and how much you can potentially make. Some industries have limited potential and this is a way to identify those. Hope that helps. - Rick

    I’ve just started learning about government contract. I hear many teaching that this can be done as a subcontractor/middleman; is this true ?

    • @govclose
      @govclose  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Subcontracting yes. Very common and may be the best possibility for a 1st contract. Just depends on what you are selling. There's no such thing as a middleman in federal contrracting. You're either a prime or a sub. Most of the middleman videos out there are talking about being a prime but trying to find a subcontractor to do the work. Personally I think that is a bad strategy and a waste of time.

    • @OluremiTeam
      @OluremiTeam 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Subcontracting is indeed a common and effective way to start in government contracting.
      @dodcontractacademy mentioned that there's no official 'middleman' role; you're either a prime contractor or a subcontractor. Some people try to act as middlemen by getting a prime contract and outsourcing the work, but this strategy often isn't efficient and can be a waste of time.
      Focusing on where you can add real value is key, whether as a prime or a subcontractor.

      @@OluremiTeam so if I don’t have a business that can provide a service I can’t do this? I’m confused cause some are stating otherwise.

      @@EspPeguero12 I recommend learning a specific govcon niche like proposal writing and start freelancing for businesses already selling to the US gov.
      You'll be much more successful and you will also generate immediate income and learn allot while your getting paid.
      There are many people making videos that are misleading. Government contracting is not easy and it is a very long timeline compared to a normal sales process. Very Lucrative? Yes, if you have a business that provides a valuable product or service and you are dedicated to the process.
