I really think it is...its hard to say which is better this The Good The Bad And The Ugly or a Fist Full Of Dollars as i love all of them but for me the greatest scene in any of these films was the final gunfight in For A Few Dollars More....its just so perfect with the music crescendoing as they face off then restarting as Eastwood opens the second pocket watch... th-cam.com/video/0JPnR7C8mZQ/w-d-xo.html
So many great actors and character actors in it...take the opening scene at the station Jack Elam and Woody Strode two of the most iconic Western character actors and killed in the first 5mins...
Absolutely agree with you with my late elder brother i lost in 1984, he was a avid reader & watched all those classic movies with me in Mumbai. He died young got drowned in the river inspite of knowing swimming , i still miss him after 40 years
I remember being a kid seeing this at a drive-in theater. Us kids would bring along a pillow and blanket to go to sleep in the back of the station wagon. Best memories
Best movie ever made! In 2021 I drove out west and got to see the site where the arch was in the middle of monument valley Utah. I had to pay an Indian guide to get there but it was worth it...
JAMAIS, EU DISSE JAMAIS! FARÃO OUTRA OBRA DE ARTE COM TAMANHO REQUINTE E TATO CINEMATOGRÁFICO. FANTÁSTICO AO EXTREMO.
Expertly made? At least not flawless. The love making scene between Frank and Jill McBain was totally pointless, only served as gimmick for sexual appealing. It might work for movie theatre popcorn break, not this mobile age.
A little grammar help: at 7:30, he meant "farther", not "further". We use "farther" when we're talking about distance, and "further" for everything else.
Absolutely, Supreme Western, Sergio Leone masterpiece. Henry Fonda, as the blue eyed ruthless killer Frank. What a masterstroke of casting. Fonda was always noted for playing squared jawed hero's. But in this he's a total son of a bitch . And that cold blooded response, towards one of his henchman. "What we gonna do with this one Frank" " Now that you called me by name" And you know the rest😊
Think Bronson was perfectly cast, as harmonica, moody and vengeful, kind of reflected his real life persona. Don't think anybody could have played that role except for Bronson. Fact is, it was a resounding success.
@@georgebatiste7921 Fonda initally disliked the role but was convinced by Leone, who travelled to the US, who wouldn't take "no" for an answer. Fonda was indeed indebted afterwards as this movie re-kindled his career into the 70's. Awesome actor, btw.
Leone wanted Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Eli Walach to play the three gunfighters in the opening scene. He wanted this to be his last western and by killing off the three it would signify is end of making westerns.
One of the best Westerns ever and amazing music 💯💯💯💯👌👌🤩🤩🤩
Yep.

One of the best westerns ever. A great story and Charles Bronson was perfect for the part.
Clint Eastwood turned down that role, and Charles Bronson turned out to be perfect for that role. 🕹

Thanks for sharing 🕹🙏
Certainly, for me ( and my late son) , the greatest western of all time. My son’s favourite film of all time.
I remember being a kid seeing this at a drive-in theater. Us kids would bring along a pillow and blanket to go to sleep in the back of the station wagon. Best memories
25 cents a carload ! Those were the days .
Best movie ever made! In 2021 I drove out west and got to see the site where the arch was in the middle of monument valley Utah. I had to pay an Indian guide to get there but it was worth it...
In 1973 i was at the arch when it stood .
@shawntailor5485 that must have been so cool....
I saw this at the theatre 5 times. Favorite western.
Best music score EVER made!
Yes! And best film ever too!
le plus grand western de tous les temps avec des acteurs inoubliables
Glorious and Perfect
This scene is iconic when Charles Bronson steps in. You see his head in the profile with hat and he dryly says:"5000 dollars."
Seemed so unfair to give Woody Strode and Jack Elam such small parts.
CB at his ultimate best 😉
Great movie,up there with the Dollar trilogy
I love the gun sounds in this movie.
An absolute classic
Everytime i hear a squeeky windmill sound i think of this western
Budgies on a water wheel like makes the sound whaa whaa whaa i go
In 1968 Claudia Cardinale was 30, she's still alive.
yes, age 86🕹🎉
She was quite the catch back then!
Gorgeous ❤❤
Unfortunately she passed away
And just as beautiful!
THE Greatest western ever made. ICONIC EPIC
agree, my wife hates it, hence... :)
Best film ever made imo....
Probably my fav western, even more than any of Eastwood's films.

Obrigado pela sua partilha, é uma bela crítica sobre um filme tão elegante como este clássico! 🕹🎉
Thanks for your sharing, that is a beautiful review about a movie, as class as this classic movie itself! 🎉🕹
Parfaite musique d’ennio moricone et le regard triste et intense de Claudia cardinale mon leone préféré 😅
Bien dit. Ennio Morricone possédait des morceaux de musique de la plupart des grands films.🕹🎉
You can watch many, many Westerns over time....but, inexorably you'll return to OUATITW...if only for the first scene!
Nah, you brought two to many.
It's the music that brings me back and it's an awesome movie 💯💯💯💯👌👌🤩🤩🤩👏👏👏
The greatest western ever made.
Yes.
you brought two too many, Bronson is king
These movies were expertly made. They should not be altered.
Expertly made? At least not flawless. The love making scene between Frank and Jill McBain was totally pointless, only served as gimmick for sexual appealing. It might work for movie theatre popcorn break, not this mobile age.
The full movie was included in the description. 🎉
Once Upon A Time In The West.
Once Upon A Time in America.
Once Upon A Time in Mexico.
Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.
Once Upon A Time in America is great too 🕹
Ich denke, in diesen staubigen, trockenen Wüsten ist es auch eine Erlösung, wenn man nicht so alt wird.
meraviglioso
what ppl don't seem to understand is that the Wild West was brutal, savage....and we're trying to idealize it
Probably not just the Wild West , the statement could be applied to most part of the history, 🎉
A little grammar help: at 7:30, he meant "farther", not "further". We use "farther" when we're talking about distance, and "further" for everything else.
That seems to be one of the toughest words to get folks to use correctly.
FAR... distance. FARther... distance. FUR... nothing to do with fur! LOL
Henry Fonda was so evil in this role that it was almost like he went to North Vietnam to pose with communist anti-aircraft artillery.
Bronson was the BEST "hard arse" ever. 😊
no question about that 🕹🎉

Well said! Originally the plan was Clint Eastwood vs. Fonda, and he turned down the role, and took a supporting role in "Where Eagles Dare"
Think Bronson was perfectly cast, as harmonica, moody and vengeful, kind of reflected his real life persona. Don't think anybody could have played that role except for Bronson. Fact is, it was a resounding success.

$5000 in say, 1870 would be over $120,000 today.
and the rest
Just watch the goddamn movie or don't.
Terrible edit, super short cuts ruined it
Hank Fonda DFA, and neither did Charles Bronson. Great casting all around.
Didn't Sergio Leone want Clint Eastwood originally for the part but he turned it down?
That is true, instead he picked a supporting role in Where Eagles Dare (1968). 🕹
He wanted Eastwood for the opening scene. He always wanted Bronson for Harmonica, a man with a face that could stop a train. @@motionattached

You brought two too many
one of the four people gun shot was copied by Ramesh sippy in SHOLAY Hindi movie.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Are you serious? 🤣
BRONSON IS BAD.AS..BETTER THAN CLINT.. JUST MY OPPINION..
What a load of BULLSHIT. Nothing in this movie comes close to reality. 😂
Meds. Now.
That's because it's not about reality, it's about mythology.
Well, Andrew, I suppose it's good that it was a MOVIE and not a DOCUMENTARY, then. Dontyathink... or do you.
Its a movie remember
Further is a word.
Super film
