I remember this car and driver from the NSCRA days...around 2009. It was one of the few turbo K-series street cars from that time, and was super clean. It's nice to see him get the car back and doing this new build, the car still looks nice!
not really. in the end its still a civic...now remove all the go fast parts n it wouldnt hurt anyones feelings...same thing can be said for any car that is heavily modified...put the same aamount of money he did in this car into a lets say demon or hellcat and would end up with the same results

There's not even a cage in the car, let alone a chute edit: there's a half cage but there's no way its 9.0 or 8.50 cert, that's some serious power and some serious speed. It's a death wish running the car that fast without proper safety

Ryan is a bad ass for sure. I have a 03 Evo 8 that he built the engine in it for the previous owner. Currently has a Precision DBB 6262 the car made 666whp on AG AutoSports dyno and flat 600whp 6-8800rpm on 5150Racing's mustang in SoCal. Very solid build of an engine by Ryan, definitely looking forward to changing the turbo for a 6766 or 6875.

Good looking build. It's nice to see someone who appreciates the "natural" aesthetics of their chosen car whatever that may be. It's borderline amazing the power and times people are getting out of 4bangers these days. Now, if you could just make them not sound like a pissed off weed whacker with a chronic cough... Based on sound alone, I would take a 350hp 13.5 second american v8 over that car every day. That being said, that civic is a beast and I hope he hits his high to mid 7's. Go fast, keep it straight and be safe!

Awesome Build!! For the sleeper effect, all I would of done was remove the Flex Fuel badge, ran a stock exhaust and made an electronic cut off before the stock exhaust and straight piped the Exhaust and dump tube under the car
For 960HP, the way it looks is "sleeper" enough IMHO. Sure, hood exit and all the other things, but I still wouldn't expect almost 1000 HP from that thing at first glance. That's just me though 🤷🏽♂️

Exactly thats the most overused phrase in cars. Its a basic build with off the shelf parts has awd converted civic with a k swap. Im sure it has a custom driveshaft and trans cross member.

watching an 8 sec car running without cage is giving me goosebump, i own a 2j swap on a 1991 stock shell car no cage, AND it scare me quite alot when i do pull on highway or track, while i make only 500ish whp....thinking of installing cage anytime soon.....

At that point your looking at initial investment being cheaper. Obviously the civic, even with motor swap, is probably gonna be cheaper than a decent (not totally thrashed by a teenager) EVO. But for that level Honda aftermarket parts are only marginally cheaper than evo stuff so once your shooting for power levels where your looking at a sleeved block and a built head, the build itself is gonna be almost as much as a similar build on an EVO.
The Honda Civic engine I have seen before: -Turbo Garrett GTX 5008(the size similar) $1900 or less -intake $660 or more (NOT FROM EBAY INTAKE HE HAS THERE) -all kit should be around $600 or less. -wheels $500 or more -tires $600 (I believe so) -paints on his Honda should be over $800 or more. Damn there is no cheap build but life is short to keep it stock tho
El Ferdo Rivas if that was all I needed to be even close to this build then I would do it instantly but I’m guessing there are more expenses where the clutch, displacement, transmission, awd conversion, cams, injectors, rods, pistons, crank, inter cooler, ECU, fuel pump, injectors, transfer case, etc. are concerned lol. And ya high hp builds are almost always going to be expensive 🥵 For an Evo you’d be looking at around $30k give it take so was wondering how the civic compares.

Exactly thats the most overused phrase in cars. Its a basic build with off the shelf parts has awd converted civic with a k swap. Im sure it has a custom driveshaft and trans cross member.
@@bryanbridges6152 Nope. Just OEM Driveshaft that's been cut, OEM Rear diff. Everything for this car can be bought online without special ordering or custom work.

watching an 8 sec car running without cage is giving me goosebump, i own a 2j swap on a 1991 stock shell car no cage, AND it scare me quite alot when i do pull on highway or track, while i make only 500ish whp....thinking of installing cage anytime soon.....

I’d really like to know how much this build cost in total. I’ve heard civics are much cheaper to build than Evo’s but I wonder if that applies at the top tier as well
No matter what ur always looking at less plus if ut fukes up it's cheaper an evo you will kill urself if ur first tune blows up ur engine no.joke.
At that point your looking at initial investment being cheaper. Obviously the civic, even with motor swap, is probably gonna be cheaper than a decent (not totally thrashed by a teenager) EVO. But for that level Honda aftermarket parts are only marginally cheaper than evo stuff so once your shooting for power levels where your looking at a sleeved block and a built head, the build itself is gonna be almost as much as a similar build on an EVO.
The Honda Civic engine I have seen before:
-Turbo Garrett GTX 5008(the size similar) $1900 or less
-intake $660 or more (NOT FROM EBAY INTAKE HE HAS THERE)
-all kit should be around $600 or less.
-wheels $500 or more
-tires $600 (I believe so)
-paints on his Honda should be over $800 or more.
Damn there is no cheap build but life is short to keep it stock tho
El Ferdo Rivas if that was all I needed to be even close to this build then I would do it instantly but I’m guessing there are more expenses where the clutch, displacement, transmission, awd conversion, cams, injectors, rods, pistons, crank, inter cooler, ECU, fuel pump, injectors, transfer case, etc. are concerned lol. And ya high hp builds are almost always going to be expensive 🥵 For an Evo you’d be looking at around $30k give it take so was wondering how the civic compares.
