Hi, Omega. My name is Magni. I've been a subscriber for a while now. I watched your original playthrough of these two masterpieces more than a decade ago. It was what introduced me to them to begin with, I even got a GameCube and everything just to play them. And I was , am grateful to you, so thank you for what you do, and for making this video. And for bringing a joy like baten Kaitos into my life.

This game was my first proper import back on the day. The friend who showed me Baten Kaitos 1 was certain it wasn't part of a series, and then i found your videos of Origins (which never got a proper european release)
Nice to see you're still around after making me discover Skies of Arcadia and Valkyria Chronicles as well Omega

I’m pretty sure the debuff for your hp was from the gossip it said at the bottom it would effect combat. I’m pretty sure it was supposed to be for one combat but since the combat you entered was the boss fight it didn’t fall off till then. Because I had the same debuff but after one fight it went back to normal. I’m playing along side you.

Hey mate, thanks for the video as I can’t find much about these on TH-cam. Is the whole card system hard to get to grips with? I have never been good at card games but this kind of looks more like a turn based system represented by cards?

Both games are pretty straight forward once you get the gist of it and both start fairly slow to ease you into the system before they start ramping up the pace and difficulty of the fights.
2nd game is more focused on setting up party combos while the 1st is more single target focus and reacting to what you get. Might take a bit to understand the nuances and deck building, but they are both pretty satisfying once you pull off the big combo plays imo.

I’ve always wanted to play these games, ever since the GameCube but I never did. I’m kinda scared to try them because I don’t know if I’ll enjoy the combat or story. Lol 😅

You can say that about every video game ever made lol
You won't know until you play them!
