I wouldn't say that. Bolt makes Duke able to race very effectively. Pressuring Delver into FoWing when you have. haymakers lined up has winning lines vs a grip like that.
I think the comment was made that he double blocked but that just wasn’t the case in the game. Murktide was a 5/5 at the time and had p/t enough to kill the Shelly with a single block, and no fear of removal/buffs.
Ughhh, the phone being used for life totals is silly! Paper should be used by both players to verify life and the amount of loss as compared to the cards played... As you can see, the phone caused issues, especially when one player is keeping the totals. Imagine if a disagreement happens and you only have the phone with no history....
@@sobman correct and my point of it being a bad idea. What if said phone dies ? Then what ? Or what if a disagreement happend. I have attended events where they tried the phone bit and it cause a lot of issues, people hitting the down arrow to many times or miss clicks... We had one of the phones crash and many other issues. I find it a terrible idea. In this game you see it caused an issue that neither player knew if Reed was at 12 or 11. The other player kept track of Reeds life total, before Reed could do it. Also if I was Reed I would have smacked dudes hand every time he put dice on my creatures, its like woohhhhhh there buddy I think I can handle putting counters on my own creatures...
It is true that both players keeping track with pen and pad would be best. The phone is for the camera, but can be helpful to have a mutual display of life totals to be sure both players are on the same page. Sometimes, players opt to skip pen and paper, and that's usually fine. -Chris

Also, feel free to try using your words to tell your opponent if you'd rather put the dice on your creatures yourself, I'm sure they'd understand that better than smacks.

The 6 minute mark you are correct it was very confusing, however I am talking about the 17 minute mark where they again had issues with life totals. I get it mono black was all jacked up on energy drinks or something and Reed is an adult and yes asking your opponent to not put counters on your cards is best. However it does Breach the board state rule a bit, so call a judge before smacking anyone's hand. Oh and just so you get things here, I was being facetious about smacking his hand. Cheers!
