- Lowering our 1988 W201 Mercedes 190e 2.6, on H&R springs.
We used the Mercedes spring compressor tool and made life easier.
Any question , feel free to ask, the car will be continued to be modified and we will document the whole progress.
Loved the video, couple questions tho. What did you mean at the end of the video when you said before it settles? Do the springs go into position by themselves after some driving? And I saw that you have ventilated front discs, are those oem? Thanks
damn thanks exact video I needed
Nice. Handling better? Rougher ride?
Handling so much better, makes the car feel a lot tighter! Ride isn’t rough just need to make sure you take the speed bumps slow.
@@Ajgarage might handle better when using the proper suspension struts and shocks to match the springs. Bilstein B8.
Hey bro what did you put to stick the wheel arch panels?
@@Vic-eg7iu they were screwed in, we took them off. Came with the car when we got it
red is the best color imo. really wanna see a red evo 2 style one someday (hopefully in my garage 😂)
You and I both 😂
We’re you able to adjust the rear camber after lowering the car? If not was it a significant amount of camber after lowering the car?
Nope! You’ll need to get adjustable arms to do that. Naturally lowering the car will create a little bit of camber but not a lot
Why can’t you change the front spring the same way you did rears without compressing it?
I tried this way on my old W202, there wasn’t enough space to get the spring out as front standard springs are much longer.
How many millimeters did you lowered for the front and for the rear
The H&R spring set states it's up to a 40mm drop
👍👍👍
Great video, how many mm lowering springs are these 40mm or 60mm
please can you tell mi part number of mudflaps?
such a great machine
thank you!
