- First bash with the Redcat Kaiju EXT on 4s. GoPro's were failing again in the video. Good thing I always have my DJI Osmo Action rolling.
Part are in from Redcat need to install and get this back out.

@CoachD RC Yeah Coach that was nothing.. I knew they were weak but man!
There are some fixes out there, even before the Redcat parts come in.
Good news though, my new parts are in and they work great.

Kinda forgot about this one, lol! Seems like it will be a good RC after you get the updated turnbuckle 👍

Dam man that sucks. That is such a great looking truck though. I hope the turn buckles they're sending you are an improved version.

I got my new links in with a note that the metal was bad on the ones shipped on the preorder ones. Very impressed with redcat here, most manufacturers just fix it and pretend it didn’t happen, they manned up on it.
For tires I have had very had good luck with the BF lp’s on my KEXT, I also went to a million in the center and installed the sway bars. I also noticed they seem to be out of balance as well. I just got in a tire balancer, I am going to try to run them once balanced and vented in the tire itself>
@Marc Gebeloff So true, Redcat stepped up to the plate on this. I've had other RC's where there were known issues and they will never acknowledge there is an issue but will support the problem by throwing parts at it, which means they are hopping the community will fix it for them.
@@ReadySetRC and that’s when they acknowledge the issue isn’t abuse. I hadn’t thought to much about Redcat until early last year when I saw more and more positive reviews where on there newer product lines like the crawlers. I hadn’t touched crawlers or trail trucks before this year so I wanted to start of with something solid axle but with enough pop to ease the transition from high power rigs, so I tried the Windigo, not so much a crawler or basher, just a cool in between rig and I was very impressed with the general parts quality, design and value of the rig. Since then I have purchased both Kaiju models. I read that Redcat has been moving more and more parts production to Taiwan factories from china especially on newer models and has been specifying new improved plastic formulas be used on parts that breakage prone. I am certain;y willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, I haven’t broken anything on the EXT but the wing (freezing temps yesterday, on 6s the rig mercilessly slams onto its lid on any heavy throttle) though I purposely haven’t been jumping more then smaller natural terrain jumping, but I have put 8 or more packs through it, all 6s.
They are a terrific value especially with all the recent price hikes from the bigger players. The OG kaiju is only $80 more then a 3s granite, which while a great truck, isn’t in the same league.

Use kraton links . Is it the tires bouncing everywhere or is it the shocks?
Tires, shocks are plush..I swapped over to Imex Swamp Dawg tires..Much better

Everyone knows about the rear links having bad steel..It happens..You can use front ones or order upgraded aftermarket ones.. Redcat is supposed to send out new ones with good steal for free soon

@@ReadySetRC ok i see. I would get too frustrated lol . Would need to make it strong ASAP. Are they sending you supposed upgraded ones? Or just stock? Do they have upgraded ones yet? I'm actually ordering the ext next week I'd like to know if there is upgrades yet by redcat or what. I just ordered the maxxv2 so been pre occupied with ordering parts for that. Thanks bro.
Is this better then the Arrma talion 6s?
@Gold I would consider the Tailon more of a premium truck to this. This has performed well but the Tailon is in a separate class.
@@ReadySetRC Thank you man. I have the big rock and I'm ripping that around I just picked up the red cat Volcano EPX pro that thing is really good too. I'm looking for the next step up.
@@--emt Yeah this is more of the same. Maybe a .5 version upgrade of the Big Rock. Tailon is the next level.
