Made quite a few changes since you saw this last. We will do a speed run first to see if I snap anymore driveshafts, and then take it for a bash on 4s and 6s. Check it out!

That was kool! I did the same thing to my shocks and i put old A arm links on the new thick plastic. So far its been working out. No breakage yet.👍

Glad you like it lol 6 seconds into 6s and blew tires epic. However I would have put my money into a oootkast or a mini max personally. but it was fun watching it flip n crash and flip.
That new mini max has me interested too...

Bro thanks for the update...I've had my Kaiju Ext in the box, with upgrades, just watching videos trying to decide if I'm going to keep it..thx I think this will work. I planned from the last video to checkout the diffs, way to go. I think if you haven't, I would increase the brake to atleast 50% for better air controll...from factory its set @ 25%. Great video.
Thank you! Yeah I increased the brake to 50 before my first run with it. Its so light it rotates so quick, but being longer its less time to figure out midair then the og Kaiju. Maybe Ill try it at 75%🤷🏾♂️
@@therchotspot Ok...im about to jump in with the adjustments. I was seriously going to return and grab a Savage 6s, I was just debating on whether I wanted to spend that much. I did grab the MT8 preorder.
Yeah I wont put this on the level of that Savage lol. I want that savage too, but like you, I pre-ordered the MT8

Hard to say. My first answer would be the rival mt8 based on pricing but already ordered that. I think thats the reason I put these two in the same league. I love my Kaijus but I also expect less from them then the Savage because of the price

I've been using backflips lP dboots on my older version and my traxxas maxx really like them as for snow the kraton 6s is a beast

The plastics are to soft for the bigger tire seems so the lighter smaller tire seems to shine great video

Yes I did
i put the og kaiju tires, hub extenders and a traxxas tsm reciver thats seems to make it way more stable gonna try the sway bars too

Thank you for the sub! I would spend a little extra to get the Arrma. I have a couple of them. The Kaiju is cool but I wouldnt pick it over the Kraton 6s

You should change the front and rear turnbuckles to m5x50 and find some matching tie rod links for steering too

@@therchotspot I still don't think that ext can handle 6s. Its looking like a solid 4s machine though. I would use hard plastic shock limiters instead of fuel line. Its always a tough balance with cv joints and axle plunge in relation to suspension travel. Those zd wheels look sweet too! Those bumpers are asking for a new more rugged body shell....thoughts?
I agree. Its solid with 4s. I enjoy it more that way right now. 6s is a lot for it being as loght as it is even with me adding some weight with the upgrades. The fuel line was just a quick fix solution. I like the bumper on there with this body more than without but Im still not a big fan of it. I do want a different body for it. Looking at options

I have a hard time finding 6's batteries that fit and sometimes I have the same problem with 3s which brand do you recommend for 6s
I mainly use zeee and Ovonic batteries
Good afternoon I just received mine would you be able to send me links of all the upgrades you have done to it please it looks like you found the right parts to bash it and not replace multiple parts
I can tell you what I have done to it.All the parts are Redcat, 10mm hub extenders, aluminum rear hubs (dont get the front. Screw keeps coming loose even with loctite), aluminum shock caps, aluminum steering rack and servo saver. Thats what you need from Redcat. They fixed the problem with the links breaking but if that didnt work, you can buy some 4mm x 50mm turnbuckles from tekno that work good. Thats all I can think of for now
Thinkin about pickin up one dont own any redcats currently due to lack if quality on all models besides the kaju jus wondering what part of the south u from

Yep. I wanted to put it through a good abuse. Needed to see what it could do. It was already snapping axles driving normal anyway

Im debated this RC, have new Spektrum 150A ESC and 6S combo out of Arrma Typhon 6S (JennysRC), that would be going in this RC, IF i go Redcat, plus a Savox 1210SG Servo. Never owned a Redcat. LHS suggest against it, due to parts suppprt, and lack of 3rd party support. But i really dig the chassis platform. Plus im to invested in Spectrum batteries and chargers to consider changing over.

As far as parts go, Redcat is normally pretty fast about shipping but also I can go on Amazon and get parts I need.
You'll get faster runs if you stop using that battery adapter thing you have made up. That puts so much resistance on the system.
Bro how did u wire up the og kaiju lights?
I ordered the og ones from Redcat. The brake lights already fit in the back. The front you have to get the front bumper for it. Then just plug it into the receiver

Lol! I did blow one out but I bought 2 more from Redcat so I have a spare.

What tires did you put ?
The tires I used in the speed run are proline badlands. The second one were labeled from zd racing but on Amazon sold by someone else so I put the link in the description. The last set were tires of my Kraton 6s
Your ramp is the axel breaker i think its to short so its preloading the axels real hard when u hit it.
The first driveshaft broke on landing. The second one broke during a speed run before I even ramped it
I want a Kaiju, butI'm not sure which one to get. I love the look of the OG one, but I'm guessing I should consider the V2. What do you think is best out the box?
The OG for me but I guess it also depends what you want from each. The OG is more of a stunt truck handling like the Arrma notorious. The new one rolls more like the Kraton being that its longer. But the OG has given me less problems

@@therchotspot oh the zd racing replacement tires lol. I noticed the front ballooning then the foams slid out 🤦🏻♂️
Yeah they ballooned on 4s and blew out on 6s lol. They werent glued good from factory. I reglued them and they have been good but I haven't gone above 4s. I do like them though

A droop screw? No theres no spot for one. Would love for someone to rig something up
I think I will stay with arrma. just so many mods, and upgrades exist for the brand. To me in the Hobby side of things, options are what it's about.
also, that ramp is far from where it needs to be, just saying.

@@therchotspot went to local shop today, to get New Slipper Clutch assembly for Typhon 3S and Center DS, and ended up buying a 3S Vortex...Oh Me, but...Wife agreed, so now it's mine.

Tell you the truth, something got to break the way your handling that truck. Your not sticking the landing...need better control on the throttle. This truck handles 6s. Just in case Merry Christmas 🎄
Nope Im not sticking the landing. But controlling the throttle isnt easy with it either. Its light, much lighter then my Kraton 6s with the same power. Because of that its harder to control. Thats why I think 4s is best for it. But to each their own, just my opinion.👍🏾
