    Excellent video ,..thinking of trying this myself. I have a howley,noisey sound that vibrates as I lean into turns both ways and think its a tire or bearing. 2016 Iron with 7500 kms. probably tire , I hope!!

    spacers were removed and then installed in the opposite direction from which they were removed, does this make a difference?

    • @DoubleDMoto

      As long as you put them on the correct side the direction doesn’t matter. Thanks for watching!

    How big is the axel nut? Mine seems to be missing, thanks!

    • @DoubleDMoto
      @DoubleDMoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends on the year of your sportster. This 2015 Iron Sportster uses Harley part# HD-7813A Verify it will work with yours before buying. The nut size for this bike is Hex Nut 5/8"-18 x 9/16" x 15/16" Grade 2 UNF per the Harley website.

    What's the rear axle nut torque? Replaced rear tire and adust belt to 3/8 " and not sure I want to over tighten. Saw somewhere 95 foot pounds. Cheers

    • @DoubleDMoto
      @DoubleDMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The manual states it is between 95-105. This is the spec for a 2015 Sportster so it could be a little different between years.

    • @buggoe
      @buggoe 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DoubleDMoto Thanks so much! Put new Michelin Commander II on with balance beads so safe and smooth! Adusting belt,..do you torque to 65 lbs ,then adjust and when set, tighten to 95-105?

    • @DoubleDMoto
      @DoubleDMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@buggoe I like the Michelin Commanders. I have the III on mine. When I adjust the belt I snug it down not to tight, check belt tension than loosen and adjust if needed. Then torque down once finished.

    Can you put this wheel on a 48?

    • @DoubleDMoto
      @DoubleDMoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not 100% sure if you could. It’s probably possible you would have to get the correct spacers and make sure that everything lined up.
