Thanks for the video. I've been working on my son's 04 CR-V with 170k mi. I got rid of a heavy vibration it had, new driveshaft and all new rear differential mounts. We've replaced stabilizer links and rubber bushings front and rear. Replaced all engine mounts. New tires road force balanced at a Honda dealer. New front driver side axle(boot was torn). New front lower control arms and ball joints. At about 68mph it starts to shake a little in the steering wheel and you can feel it on the floor. It's somewhat worse at 70 and above. @@bondito88 check that you have the right size tires on both sides of the front then your rotors then your control arms, the rotors can be check by running your finger on them to see if they are warped, the control arms can be check by lifting he vehicles on both sides of the front then shake the wheel side to side and up and down, if they move even slightly you need to have one or more replaced, another way if you have someone with you is to put the car in park or drive and have them press the brakes, if it moves even slightly you need to do either control arms or wheel bearings

This issue has been driving me nuts. I went to discount tire, they balanced my tires (with weights), but no fix. Went back to discount tire, for some reason they took some of the weights off, but still no fix. Before all this I checked the suspension and for damage on the rims. It does seem to fit the criteria for unbalanced tires. Steering wheel shakes between 60-75, but outside of that it its fine. Car only has 47k miles (although its a 2010).

Can you help me? Not sure if mechanic knows what he’s doing, I’ve had suspension and shocks changed a couple of years ago. Then my steering wheel would go in and out of being loose at regular speeds of 60kms, then they changed the pump, which fixed the steering feeling of intermittent looseness, but the fluid was leaking, so then they changed the rack. I just got ti back after having it aligned, feels like a slight pull to the left, and steering feels really loose when going over bumpy parts on the road, and seems to go in and out, and then rights itself. Don’t really hear any noises as such, though one time I did here a bit of a squeak as turning, and occasionally hear a clunk when trying to park and back into a space. Only driven 200 kms since it was done a couple of weeks ago? Do you think they’ve put the rack in wrong? Lose? Or why am I feeling it go wobbly everything I hit a rough patch. Sometimes feels loose as I’m driving straight at a faster speed 80kms. I’m worried they’ve not done it properly , so not sure whether to take back to them, or whether to take to someone new, who’s then going to give me a list of new things to change? If you’ve any advices on what to look or listen for, that could narrow it down, would love your help.

I have a 2010 Honda CR-V and it shakes when I accelerate around 50 mph and then goes away when I go faster or when I let go of the gas pedal. Honda told me to change the transmission fluid since it needs it because it could be the torque converter. I feel like it maybe the cv shaft or something in the front that may be going or loose. Tired are good balanced, and rotated. Any idea?

I was wayyy over due....about 30,000 or more miles over due actually. While the vehicle was up on the lift, they were able to see why I have the shaking. Both front cv axles needed to be changed. $800 job. Way better than what other Honda’s were telling me it could be. I was being informed before that it would possibly be the torque converter which is about $2800

I get the vibration/shaking when I get to or just above 70 mph on a 2007 C230 sport. I've had the car for 12 years now and it has been reliable so I see no reason to get rid of it just yet.
Replaced most of the front end suspension about a year ago. Staggered tires on the front are about two years old and look to be fine (checked inner walls to make sure). Going to get the tires re-balanced first. Will also change motor mounts and rear shocks (long overdue). Hoping that will resolve problem as I hope to run the car another 3 years or so.
    Fingers crossed.

It turned out to be worn sway bar bushings. When I did the front end suspension I bought the wrong bushings and kept the ones that were on there already. I figured they were good enough. Went down there and saw the gap between the bushing and the sway bar was larger than before,
Long story short. Ordered sway bar with bushings already on the bar. Replaced rear shocks and the vibration at high speeds is gone.
