  • The Berg Balance Scale is composed of a 14-item objective measure designed to assess static balance and fall risk in adult populations. The Berg Balance Scale tests non-vestibular balance and functional mobility through 14 different static and dynamic activities of varying difficulty. The subject’s ability to perform the activity is scored on a range from 0 to 4. The activity scores are summed with a maximum score of 56.

I went for my pt.evaluation for vestibular rehab therapy. The only test performed was a Oculomoter Exam. The therapist performed no other tests and declared that I I have eye tracking problem not a vestibular problem, There was no Berg balance test, no Tinnetti Assessment Tests, or any other assessment performed. I have had prior a balance test performed in a lab with the goggles, and was found to have a vestibular disorder due to a virus in the Labyrinth of the right ear. The Physical therapist gave me eye exercises to do but nothing else. Does this seem like a comprehensive physical therapy assessment to you? What recourse do I have to get proper treatment? Thank you for any advice you can give

For Item #8, the instructions state the patient should have their fingers fully extended, but the video shows the patient with a closed fist. Is there a reason for this discrepancy? Does it matter if you use a fist or not?
