    60 mile return journey to and from work, I have not used any petrol yet in my first week of ownership. A brilliant Car with lots of equipment. Great to drive and exceptional comfort and build quality. Probably not for everyone but my driving profile fits the Car Perfectly. If you do longer drives often then this is probably not for you. My profile of home to work and back with the occasional longer journey suits me perfectly. No range anxiety or waiting for a charger for me.

      That's great to hear. You sound like exactly the kind of driver that Mazda had in mind when designing this car. Hopefully more people will discover the benefits of the MX-30 R-EV and consider it as their next car.

      6800 miles on the Car now. No issues at all, my fuel bill (Octavia Scout) was £300 per month, my MX30-REV is averaging £46 per month, I have used and 36 Gallons of fuel from June to October averaging £30 per month. The fuel economy seems to be about 50MPG if your gentle. Lots of overtaking will, drop it into the low 30's. In short very pleased and no regrets.

      That's really nice to hear. Sounds like you've found your perfect car! And that fuel bill is spectacular!

    The only plug in hybrid that makes sense

    A linear PHEV with slightly higher specs would be exactly what we need. In my experience, a 0--60 sprint time of 7 to 8 seconds is the sweet spot. Whenever you need more oomph than that, some bystander will think you're reckless, so you can't make practical use of it anyway. But anything less than that is too lethargic, you will miss opportunities in traffic.

      Interesting! That makes sense. Thank you for sharing your perspective.

    6mph/10kmh faster and I would have loved this car. But 87mph/140kmh is my "normal" speed on the highway and I'd really love some little buffer. 🥲

    you must open the front door to open the rear door , you got into the rear closed the rear door , how are you going to close the front door, i know about this as i have a bmw i3 rex with the same silly doors with non opening rear windows.
    but the rex is great , a proper ev with no hassle...
    so i was looking forward to this mazda but on this they halved the battery size, thus a good idea ruined...

    A petrol tank of 50 litres (11 gallon) and a range of 400miles that makes it 36mpg not upto 282mpg

    • @ArnoldClarkAutos
      @ArnoldClarkAutos  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You make a good point, however, this number is based on a a claimed fuel economy of 282.5 miles per gallon, but this figure is only achievable if the battery is kept fully charged. Without regular charging, the MX-30 R-EV will typically get around 35-40 mpg.

      I keep a spreadsheet of my daily milage and electric energy use. I also record all fuel usage, always fill up. I seem to be averaging around 50MPG based on actual fuel use.

      if you buy an hybrid car, you should do calculation using the car with both source of energy.
      Of course it is less efficient than a tesla and of a petrol fiat 500.
      If this car suits your needing it is the perfect match, if you ddrive 50miles to go at work, this is not for you and you need a petrol car or a tesla.
