Hi Michel ☺, nice job on the slitting saw mandrel, and it ran true as well so win, win for you. That drill chuck was a great gift from Martin, and just when you needed one. Thanks for another interesting video mate, stay safe, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart UK
G'day Rusty. Nice job on the Mandrils. Now at least you have checked & re lubed all the spindles. Great job overal with the slitting saw blades. It's good to see You Tube Family helping others with tools 🔧 that they need. Surprise gifts 🎁 are always special. 🎉 😊
Thanks Mr Rustinox. I really enjoyed the Video as always . I have also explored the plan to turn on the mill and it does make perfect sense to draw back the little errors on a part like this . Cheers Ade.
Hi Michel, that was a nice job on the slitting saw arbor. One thing I am concerned with is it going to run concentric when you put it back in? My concern is unless you marry it with the spindle in the same place you may not get it running concentrically. You had 4/100 ths of a millimetre run out at first if you put it back into the spindle in the exact opposite place, you could have 8/100 ths runout. I would check it and if it is indeed not concentric just try it in another spot until you get it where it was when you machined it, then if the spindle nose has a distinguishing mark on it, then dot punch the arbor so you can always put it back in the correct orientation. That keyless drill chuck was a very generous viewer gift to you AND it was MT3! Your humour gets me every time Michel, I love your dry wit. Cheers from London, Sam
Lovely, another Rustinox video. The thread you were trying to think of is a buttress thread. There is a Wikipedia page on them, not a great amount of detail, but the basics.
Nice work Michel, and nice work on the buttress thread. It didn't become obvious until you re-ground the tool and moved the cam. Thanks for the video and have a nice week-end, cheers from Canada!
*_Right. I subbed his channel. I got a bunch of 4140 and I've been thinking on building my own arbor for the slitting saws as well. The arbor I got was in the tooling that came with my milling machine the arbor is Chinese. So it's garbage until I can repurpose it._*
Very interesting. Nice work sir.
Thanks Rusty.
"Now my cutting tool is pointless" I love it!! Good video Michel.
Thanks.
Hi Michel, another great video and a very interesting piece of engineering work that you have been doing, thanks for sharing it with us 👍😀😀
My pleasure.
G'day Rusti, great work and great humour, as always.
Thanks.
Happy days Michel 🎉 nicely done as always buddy
Thanks Ralfy.
I'm a first time visitor, Preso put me on in to you. Now I'm a subscriber to your great channel 😽
That's nice. You're welcome.

Thanks Stuart.
Plenty of good news,Michel.Glad for you.Your trial and error process makes a safe and pleasant journey to me..Thank you.
And it works :)
Thanks, Michael, you help me a lot! Very nice that you show how to make a Buttress thread, I wan to do too, again thanks, and to the next one, ciao
Go for it. It's just like cutting whatever thread.
hey michel. you made it beautiful again.👍🏻 and sometimes you have to be lucky😉
Thanks. A bit of luck can be very welcome sometimes.
Almost nothing is more satisfying than a homemade tool that comes out the way you planned, well done. Viewer generosity continues to blow me away.👍
You're right. There are some very generous people out there.
Not only fabulous machining, but some cracking humour too. Oh so enjoyable.
The slitting saw arbor came out fabulous . Well done. 👏👏👍😀
Thanks Andrew.
I like that people can share tools & knowledge with each other. Good video Thanks Michael
It's wonderful.
Nothing to say really just an obligatory algorithm boost for the channel. 👍👍
Also useful :)
It’s nice when a slitting saw runs as true as that one does - very satisfying 👍
Indeed, it is.
An education as always.😀
And it works :)

You're right. Cleanup and lube was part of the job.
Thanks Mr Rustinox. I really enjoyed the Video as always . I have also explored the plan to turn on the mill and it does make perfect sense to draw back the little errors on a part like this . Cheers Ade.
Thanks Ade. It works great.
Wonder if you could bore out the spindle of the dividing head? 😀
Maybe, but it's a long spindle. Maybe line boring.

The taper is as concentric as the spindle of the mill now.
If a mill can be a lathe maybe the old saying that a lathe is the only tool that can make itself also is true for a mill!
Could well be :)
Always a pleasure to watch you get where you want to be.
Nice. Thanks.
Brilliant job mate
Thanks Matty.
Hi there, Great vid as alwayz, luv the humour, glad you got the drill chuck opened.greetings from Ireland
Ireland? Cool.
Lovely, another Rustinox video. The thread you were trying to think of is a buttress thread. There is a Wikipedia page on them, not a great amount of detail, but the basics.
I have documentation about the thread I need. It's just thet I couldn't remember the name while filming.
Thanks
No problem.
Great video rusty, keep'um coming.
That's the plan.
Enjoyed….good build
Thanks Chuck.
Nice work Michel, and nice work on the buttress thread. It didn't become obvious until you re-ground the tool and moved the cam. Thanks for the video and have a nice week-end, cheers from Canada!
Well, it's just like cutting any other thread. Just the shape is different.
Some more expert machining Michel. Your videos are always entertaining. Looking forward to more on the micrometer build. Cheers Nobby
It's not really expert machining. Just go for it.
spot on Michel
atb👍👍👍👍👍👍
Kev
Thanks Kev.
Well Done as usual
Thanks.
As always, an entertaining video.
You got an arbour for saw blades but the dividing head matter remains.... Next video or so?
If I need a collet I don't have, I will make one. No problem.
good video rustinox
Thanks.
👍😎
Thanks.

As always, there's a problem! Drawbars, tapers, lack of universal standards. It's enough to drive a home shop machinist to drink. 🍸
Regards, Preso
O maybe just to do something about it :)
Why you do not chance the motor direction? Very easy switch is needed, only
The feed and cooling pump doesn't work while spinning in reverse.
¿Hablas blabla? Senior Rustynox
:)
Nice, Rusti.
Thanks.
