You have nothing to be ashamed about. The amount of tasks you take on, some being learnt first hand, along with the farm which you knew zero about, can only be described as admirable. If people got off their sofa bums and took on a quarter of what you achieve...the world would be a better place!
Loving this epic adventure
Continuing to make all jobs look diyable. Thanks for the upload
I know it’s all measured and marked out, but I would be losing sleep when it comes to drilling or cutting into the floor!
Fab video as usual and seeing the girls helping brings back memories of helping my dad (carpenter) on home DIY projects. They are memories I have retained for 50 years whilst many other memories have been lost.
That's a valuable lesson learned, Tim! With the slab in place, the walls should be issue-free now. Looking forward to more videos, and we're happy to have supplied your heating!
I’ve followed you for years and your work ethic is mind blowing. What I don’t understand is 220k subs but only 22 comments. Ah well, 23 now
Your dog stole the show at the start of the video. 😂👍🏻
Fantastic been looking forward to seeing how you are getting on 🙌
this was quite the eye opener
Wow, all of a sudden this is starting to look like an indoor space, not a cow shed any more! But I know this feeling where you get to a certain point and you HAVE to start making decisions (like where the fridge is going to stand, or whatever) and there's just no way you could have decided it before, but suddenly it's crunch time, you have to decide, and you are sealing your fate and now this is the spot where the fridge is going to be till your dying day whether you (or the missus) likes it or not 😂
Cool 😎
Ok are we looking at having Brussels on in a few weeks time 😊
Will do same in our Reno. Would be interested to see more on pressure testing the pipe work. ❤ we will go for a monoblock 16kw ASHP hoping it’s mostly plug and play. Only 6 zones 5 UFH and 1 for Radiators upstairs
Matt don't pressure test pipes with water. Use air this time of year. Plumber at work used water didn't empty it properly and had pipes freeze and had leaks everywhere and they had to dig floor up?
Especially probably with walls open??
Im actually unsure if the advicethat you dont need UFH under islands for example is that good. I did that and noticed how much quicker the floor cools down as theres a permanently cold spot drawing the heat away. I have a fairly large island 3.2x1.3m so with the cabinets a large portion of the floor is cold.
Hope the UFH is designed for a nice low flow temp at -2 outside.
A max of 30 degrees flow would be great. Lower the better.
Yep. I’ve been watching a bunch of stuff from HeatGeek and Urban Plumber channels about heat pump installs and how wrong even heating engineers can get them. Hope Tim has taken a look!
Very low and very slow. Such a low heat demand that even that could be too much so may not be needed most of the year. 👍
Didn't catch the pipe size if you mentioned it, 20mm? Just about 200l/km, about 110 if it's 16. Quite a lot of water when it's all said and done!
Tim to you need a scale ruler?
Have one somewhere so couldnt bring myself to buy another but probably should as not seen it since the move!
Has Maggie got slippers on - or just mud-stained paws???
All that red sand, will be glad to see the back of that!
