Great bit of equipment, but not around 13 years ago when we bought our van. I found that a short length of copper pipe firmly pushed into the end of a short piece of filler hose with a plastic hose fitting and joiner worked for me, and as you said, takes the hassles out of removing fittings etc.
I’ve fitted our hoses with Gardena “stop” hose connector so I can detach and attach other fittings without the need to turn off water or risk damaging the hose by kinking. Also instead of this do-dad, I made up my own with a swivel fitting, a piece of hose and a Gardena Hose connector with Control Valve which allows me to turn off the water as required without rush to the tap. Very convenient.
We've found the fastest way to fill the water tank is via the tank outlet under the van, it fills fast from underneath with no airlocks. Just gotta make sure the filler cap is off and the kitchen tap is open (with the pump off) One of us stays inside and monitors the tank level indicator and the filler neck hose. Takes less than 5 minutes.
Hey mate , I just got a Jurgen, i live on the sunshine coast and wonder if you could recommend , where i would go to get a grey water tank to install in my 2016 Lunagazer ????, i follow all your shows but found this when looking for water tank info, great gadget too cheers Ricko
Hi guys Just a quick question? Grey water/ grey water tanks. How are you set up and what has been your experience with this. Not sure whether you have done a video on this yet? Love to hear your thoughts. Cheers Pete
peter fraser we don’t have a grey water tank mate. There is only a few sites we have come across where grey water needs to be contained. We opted for an extra fresh water tank underneath rather than using the space for grey water. 👍
Thanks guys! I have 3 water tanks now and was thinking of putting a small grey water as well. I’ve just been to Wilson’s Prom where I needed something and about to go to the Deni Ute muster where I will have to be creative. I do a lot of free camping and wondered weather I was going to run into this much. Cheers Love your shows and can’t wait to retire to do the bigger trips. Looking forward to doing the canning next year...👍👍
peter fraser you can always look into the portable grey water tanks? They are like a toilet cassette but you can plug your grey water drain into them✌️

I've just got a smaller diameter piece of hose with a fitting and click onto that.
Notice youve got same inlet unit as me . Can not stop that mains screw in inlet spraying ?? Any tips 😞 thanks
I just use a short piece of hose with a clip in joiner on the end- other than the elbow it looks similar to the one in the video.
You legend
